The drive-by post game handshake

Kifin said Spurrier was someone he admired most and wanted to emulate. When I heard that I wanted him gone. Seeing that last night was classic Spurrier. If they wanted to hire an A__ hol_ then they should have hired Spurrier who knows how to win. I wish they would have made Monty head coach and if and when Lane grew up give it to him then. He is a LOSER in every since of the word. If he would change I could get behind him.

I'm sure you would enjoy getting behind him.

Ask Santa for spellcheck.

Thanks.

I used to think our fanbase didn't suck.

He might have been a little peeved because VTech had been hitting Crompton late all night and the refs not calling it.

BTW, for the first time, I'm seriously considering joining one iof the paid Vol sites, where at least the trolls have to pay to spew their venom. It shows what a miserable social life the Bammers and Doggiebags have to watch the end of the game handshakes of other teams.

i dont recall a game in which Kiffin talked to a coach at length after the game.. he just shakes hands and goes to the locker room.

Please learn to shake hands honorably after a game. If you lose, lose well and with your honor intact. Their coaching staff did nothing this entire week but praise your players, your staff, and the job you have done. They came out and outplayed us and out-coached you. This is the beauty of football, you can't always be the best that day. So, please, in the future, remember that you represent the Vol fans, the State of Tennessee, and the South...come across the field, extend your hand, shake like a man, look the other coach in the eyes and tell them they coached a great game. It will go a long way 5-10 years down the road.

I'll also point out that a lot of the same geniuses that said Kiffin wasn't trying to win are *****ing about his anger after the loss.

Kiffin congratulates player, Beamer turns to his left away from Kiffin soon as he gets to him, and Kiffin is a jerk cause of it?

I agree.

This is getting blowed up quiet a bit. Everybody is looking for CLKs next big public moment. Im sure he will have some more in the future. Just not convinced this was one of them.

Much ado about nothing.

and those who have accomplished a great deal as a coach....this arrogance and sulking serves no purpose for our program and I am sorry that it happened. Beamer had his team ready to play and we don't have the horses that we need yet but we will eventually, but this is the first year of a long rebuilding process. We should not have to deal with childish actions by our head coach...what does that accomplish???? No one expected him to hug Beamer or fall down at his feet but what kind of an example does that give our players and potential players? When you carry a chip on your shoulder, one day it will get knocked off. If your competition beats you, you should determine to be better than them the next time you meet...maturity and professionalism are admirable qualities and may be the basic foundation for success. GO VOLS....let's start a NEW YEAR on a positive note and thanks to all our players for a good year...it was really better than I had thought it would be...so at least we don't feel quite as bad as Arizona today.

One of the worst newbie posts I've seen recently.

Beamer was not interested in giving Kiffin the time of day! He'd just won his bowl game and his 6th 10 Win season. He was ready to get his trophy and celebrate with his players, and rightly so. There is no relationship between Kiffin and Beamer, there is no "See you next year" crap to be said. It was DONE. And OVER. They both knew it, and acted as such.

GET OVER IT PEOPLE! You're acting like a bunch of cry babies.

what difference will it make in 5-10 years?

respect.

any coach can win a football game. honor is something that sticks with you a long time. a perfect example is someone like beamer, paterno, bobby johnson.

Yawn. No one respects Bobby Johnson. I'm pretty sure you meant to type the name of the ACC coach that just got fired.

It's only a matter of time before someone starts a thread pissing about Kiffin wearing a white windbreaker instead of an orange one. The football IQ displayed in the game thread and some of the postgame threads is embarrassing.

This would be entertaining if some of these weren't serious.

Sorry there Sparky, but was Saban not Spurrier.

I saw it right after the game and I didn't like what I saw. I always supported Kiffin 100% but that was disrespectful imo.
it was a bowl game. it was not a must-win, but more of a friendly game at the end of the season.

If Meyer or Saban had done the same thing we would all be giving them crap. Was it a snub of Beamer? Not likely. What it lacking in class and sportsmanship? Without a doubt. Not one of CLK's better moments and I can't imagine that Monte would have responded the same way.

Yeah, but come on. He should have shown more class than that. You can congratulate a coach, and it doesn't make you okay with losing.

This.

I didn't see the handshake but, if true, CLK should show a little more class.
