Name 'em peckerhead. Start with the ones before UGA. Wonder why no other schools chose a redneck wearing a rat on his head with a coonhound on a leash, clogging to "Rocky Top"? I'll give you a hint.:birgits_giggle:
And, oh yea, that antique T your team has on it's helmet is real original. How'd you hillbillies come up with that one?!?!
I once saw Joe pa throw a bomb vs Rutgers with seconds left in the game to score over 50, then cuss at the Rutgers coach at the post game handshake (caught by espn cameras) because he dared ask "why?"... The post game handshake is overrated.
Looking at the body language of both men... why not be critical of Frank Beamer also?
Good thing you wear Depends, right? Guess there's a little envy that our mascot is consistently ranked #1 in all of college football and all you have a guy wearing a rat on his head and a bluetick coonhound.
If the peeing on yourself continues, you might want to cut back on that orange Kool Aid.
It's a lack of sportsmanship. Not long ago, most coaches didn't purposely run the score up on a beaten opponent. Now people are starting to expect it.
You stopped, you looked someone in the eye, and gave them a firm handshake after a game. Now you just stick out a hand and keep walking I guess. I guess before long people will feel there won't be a need for that.
Athletes used to know kids watched their games and tried to be somewhat responsible. Now people expect them to get into trouble. Things changed and not for the better in a lot of ways.
From what I've read from people who've met him Joe Pa he is not a nice man.
I haven't "almost peed" on myself since I was 2. Maybe things are different for hillbillies.
Haha, UT fans complaining about RUTS? And I thought this was a new era of UT football.
I saw the shake and wondered what the fanbase would think. Honestly, I didn't expect to see this many UT fans a little upset with it - I guess it proves some of you are still a little sane, despite all that orange.
It didn't look good and the camera was on Kiffin's face and that told the whole story. I see some of you courting the idea that Beamer was the the cause for the short handshake but he looks more stunned than Kiffin does and Kiffin's attitude/look never changes. This is the South - not some beach community on the west coast. We are prided for our Southern hospitality and you'd really have to go out of your way to find a Tennesseean, which I am, that doesn't take pride in their southern heritage. It's really just more of the same from him.
I see that your coach reflects the total lack of class at UT, exhibited by posts such as this. Maybe you're getting what you deserve. UT's failing. You recruit thugs and you send "HOstesses" to visit HS players. Pretty sad when Knoxville deteriorates to this level. But it looks like it's institutional. Pretty sad.
This is dumb.. Who cares if Kiffin walked past him..
He shook his hand.. And walked off, that is all he is entitled to do..
He doesn't have to sit their and kiss his butt..
I had absolutely no problem with what Kiffin did..
It's VN, we can do 600 on Beamer's reaction to the handshake.... which I thought was quite revealing.
I'm sure others here noticed that bit of social ineptitiude that goes beyond the pale of human decency that any football fan should ever have to endure. I feel sorry for you guys having to watch that sort of thing every week.![]()
