The DeSantis containment thread -- all things DeSantis go here

MAGA, b*tches!

Texas law enforcement? That's an odd term. What agency? What crime?

EDIT - it's this guy. A sheriff.

Texas sheriff certifies the Martha's Vineyard migrants are crime victims, opening the door for special visas

I'm betting Conservative Self-Owns has committed it's own self-own.

Admittedly I'm not a lawyer but is certifying someone is a victim of a crime possible when are currently investigating if a crime actually occurred?

A Texas sheriff has certified that the nearly 50 migrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis were victims of a crime. That certification is a key step in qualifying them for a special visa they would not have otherwise been eligible for.
Texas’ Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar expeditiously signed certification forms for all of the migrants, according to Boston-based immigration attorney Rachel Self, who went down to San Antonio to obtain the paperwork.

"Based upon the claims of migrants being transported from Bexar County under false pretenses, we are investigating this case as possible Unlawful Restraint," Salazar
said in a statement to GBH News. "We have submitted documentation through the federal system to ensure the migrants’ availability as witnesses during the investigation."

Yeah. But why investigate anything for yourself when you can follow a page like “Conservative Self Owns”, believe everything they post, and sarcastically drop a drive by slogan in a post on VN as you return to your liberal hell hole.

EL doesn’t bother with facts as long as there is bold font , and shouty words it’s getting posted for effect .

EL never reads what he posts or investigates it - it's all sh!tpost trolling

He’s not made those concessions in Orange, Seminole or Brevard counties…and the need is most definitely real.

It’s not a good look.

the crazy thing is that even if he doesn't want to do it because it's the right thing to do he should do it because it does him more political good than damage - it doesn't seem the races are close enough that said concessions would change them from D to R.

wrong AND dumb to not offer the concessions

The precedent is set.

Granted, Lee County took the brunt of the storm, but there’s widespread damage across the state. It only makes sense to make voting concessions to all affected counties.
