The Culinary Arts Thread

Usually Idgaf what he's saying so it don't matter, but I was interested in what he was trying to say about stoopit ass Mac and lobster. That right there has got to be the biggest culinary fail in the history of mankind.

Souce is an archaic spelling for souse, one that is no longer in use. Basically, souse is a variant of head cheese.

Then again, Behr is likely referring to the urban dictionary meaning.

Thanks, I knew it was a good made from sketchy body parts, although I couldn't seem to get past the "drunk" definitions online. Skanky cheese, then.

"Head cheese" describes a gelatinous mix of meat, tendons, ears, snouts, et al from the head of an animal, commonly a pig. Scrapple mixes coarse meal into it. Souse mixes coarsely chopped bits into the goo from cooking the skull. If Behr didn't have me on ignore, he could confirm or refine my description.

Actually, you are all wrong.....but the discussion is entertaining!

The origins of my name are complex and the influence of it's current spelling no longer posts here. I think.

We are not wrong about "souce." We may be wrong as to the origins of your VN name. Stop being coy, and spill it. Post a tome (Behr doesn't care for long posts).
