Skooter, any of your kids play lacrosse at UT? Both of mine played in HS for the West Knox Lacrosse club couple decades ago then oldest played on the UT club for 4 years.
That’s awesome. Fantastic sport. I advise anyone with a boy or girl who is athletic to give it a try in mid school. 3rd son played for Brentwood where we won btb state titles his soph/jr years and graduated in May. We did all the travel and recruiting camps and he had a lot of offers, mostly D2 and D3, but decided he wanted to be a reg college student at UT. He loved his teammates and to compete but as you know you gotta be all in 24/7 to play at the next level and tbh I think he grew tired of being beat up while sprinting 3-4 miles a game as a middle. He did consider club, but had a teammate who went out there and said 150+ kids showed up this last year.
Club is underrated. Lots of talent. Some kids just want to be at a big school and enjoy themselves.

UT had a tough time making a team in the late 2000's. If he has talent, he should at least give it a shot. My oldest is 3rd from right. He coaches Arlington MS now. He was a long stick middie.

Nice! Yeah they don’t have issues anymore, especially with how the sport has grown in the south. Asst coach put this together for my son for senior banquet. I didn’t realize he had such a good year as the team struggled with only 3 seniors after losing 14 from last years squad. He just rarely got beat and as you know, short stick dmiddies is where O attacks.
