What I learned from the 1st Gruden experience is what @Stoerner Fumbles learned this time. You can’t tell people what you hear because they then get mad at you if it doesn’t work out. I made it clear several times that what I was hearing wasn’t matching the news and seemed far fetched to me. SF said over and over that he was just relaying what he heard with no direct access. That is why I only share anything I hear with you people and most of the time I keep it to myself. This time on the day of the hire 2 of the boosters I know still thought it would be Franklin. Only 3B knew the truth and wasn’t telling anyone.

It is what it is.

I don't know if he was just trolling Vols fans, but I have heard Finebaum say repeatedly that there was a brief moment in time (I assume pre- 2017) when Gruden to Knoxville was possible but the moment passed quickly and will not reoccur.

I am sure. I think the biggest issue is even the boosters hear what they want to hear. So honestly the whole supply chain of info is often bad.

It was the first go round.
Gruden later apologized to the boosters for his part in it all.
