THE chicago BEARS thread!

The Bears have fired offensive coordinator Ron Turner, as well as offensive line coach Harry Hiestand, quarterbacks coach Pep Hamilton and tight ends coach Rob Boras, according to a league source.

The Bears will keep receivers coach Darryl Drake and running backs coach Tim Spencer. Drake's receivers were the most criticized group coming into the 2009 season, but performed much better than expected. Spencer had to deal with Matt Forte running on a bad knee and inconsistent play from the offensive line.

Also, the Bears are expected to name assistant Rod Marinelli the defensive coordinator, according to a source. He will relieve head coach Lovie Smith of those duties.

I'll probably be attending the Skins-Bears game on October 20th. I have the Army 10-miler that day

Defense is still tenacious. And IMO the O-line looked gold. The Long kid from Oregon was in full fledge beast mode.

I am feeling a little hopeful for this season. The Oline improvement was there. Cutler, however, needs to start spreading that ball around. Brandon Marshall is great but there are other receivers and a tight end on that team.

The orange doesn’t match in certain light, probably a reason why we haven’t seen Tennessee attempt an orange helmet.

That's exactly the reason. This looks like the same problem Clemson has; though the Bears' contrast is worse.

Cleveland's was off but again, not as bad the Bears'. Seem like given it's 2022 the Bears should be better.

Watching this terrible game looking for Velus to get some plays and he hasn't been seen. Fields and Lance neither look like a top QB

Hurt his hamstring and didn’t practice this week.

Thr Bears competed vs the elite Eagles so it wouldn’t be surprising if the rebuilding Bears defeated the Bills in Chicago today by playing a full great game.

The Bears just got a critical interception, and a good return.

The Bears lead the Bills 7-6 in frigid Chicago.
