The cell phone thread

I have the Lg EnV Touch which I love...It has had a few small glitches since it came out but other than that I think it is a great phone.

I just got the Tour on Thurs. I love it!
First time I've had internet on my phone. Now I know why they call it crackberry...lol
So far this has been the best mobile sight I have been to. :)

The Palm Pre is a good phone, you get the warm fuzzy feeling from the touch functions but get a keyboard that slides out the bottom for typing.

Woah!! Mine came with Touch screen but didn't come with the warm fuzzy feeling! JK I just thought what you wrote was cute! :p

I wish the keyboard was bigger, but I still like the phone and webOS. Problem is I don't think Palm is going to survive in the long run with BB,Apple, and all the Android phones coming out.I hope I'm wrong, and wish the Pre would come to Verizon.

Just got a iphone. Has tons of stuff! Going to take a while for me to learn how to use everything it has to offer.

I'm thinking about getting a Droid Eris when I'm eligible for an upgrade with Verizon next month. I just don't know if I can justify it to myself to pay the extra $30/month for the internet/data plan. I don't know much about how much usage you are allowed to have and all of that or how the net works on this type of phone. I saw there were a ton of free apps for it but not sure what I'd use or not use. I'm almost inclined to believe if I do get it I would love it and wonder why I haven't had a phone like this before but still not sure its worth the extra $30/month.

I still need to look around and see what else is out there and may just stick with a simpler phone. My wife's phone needs an upgrade too but she's telling me she wants something like a Samsung Intensity or Verizon Razzle. She just wants something with a keyboard for texting.

You get something with a decent browser and decent speed, you'll stop putzing around with a laptop.

I'm still a bigger fan of the idea of carrying around a netbook for web browsing...

I've never come across a totally satisfying cell phone based web browser except for iPhones.

Too big. I'm cool with Safari. Haven't used the Droid, but have to assume they added something that works as a browser.

Well after researching for a couple of weeks and weighing pros vs cons, I decided to go with the Bold 2 9700 and couldnt be any happier. Of course it isnt as flashy as the iphone(which was my other option), but the email functionality and call quality is excellent. I havent been a BB user in a while, but I am completely satisfied with my decision to return.

I hear the Bold is a solid device. You liking it so far? It has wifi, correct?

Also just got the Bold! Love the trackpad vs trackball. Has wi-fi, 3g, clearest screen res. I've ever seen on a cell. It's amazingly fast and a solid solid phone!

I love it! :)

I can see how the trackpad would be nice. I had a Blackberry 8830 and the trackball was a dirt magnet and it would get stuck quite a bit.

Exactly. I had a Pearl 8100 and the ball was always quitting on me. The track pad is so fast and easy when scrolling. A definite upgrade! :good!:

Just picked up the Google Nexus One and using it on T-Mobile. Very nice Android phone compared to the wife's MyTouch 3G.

I did have to jump through some hoops to get their upgrade price of $279 since the ordering process doesn't allow for Family Plan upgrades, but got it done by digging through the forums at T-Mobile and XDA-Developers.

nexus one looks awesome. i got the Droid which i love! works great with verizons awesome service and the mobile volnation iphone skin is beast on it (thanks freak)!

I bought a BB Storm 2 from a lady that I work with because she got it in some deal and doesnt like it. Good opportunity for me, I love the phone and it has pretty much replaced my BB Bold 2. I had to crack it and set it up to use on the ATT network, but it works great on my network. I would suppose that it is one of the only Verizon phones that you can actually get to work on the ATT network.
