If you're with AT&T and looking at a Blackberry you may want to delay getting one for a month or so. I just read a review on the Bold (BB 9000) and it looks like a computer that handles phone calls.

my story of the day.

i went into us cellular today to pay my phone bill. a pretty little lady helped me get that taken care of and asked me if i needed anything else. i told her about my cellphone factory resetting about 4 times by itself. i asked her if she'd take my phone on trade in and she said she couldnt do it. she did tell me she'd give me a loaner until they got mine fixed.

she walks to the back to take it into the repair room, comes back out with about 5 boxes. four of them had blackberry's, the other had a brand new moto q. she said she had talked to her manager and that they had decided they WOULD take my phone on trade-in and i could have any of those five phones for $65. i have a motorola q that was used for a week, with WM6. i really hope you all enjoy my post...because now i have no reason to ever neglect this place. by the way,

i got stuck with the lime green. the girlfriend laughed at me, but i dont care. i have a new phone.

I'm eligible for a new phone now, and I'm going to go with an LG Voyager. It'll be nice to have Verizon TV on the phone if not solely for the fact that they have CBS Mobile - I'll never have a reason to be without my SEC football. It's going to be a total multimedia overload.

Everyone I know who has the Blackberry Pearl hates that half keyboard it has. The Curve is a very nice phone, though.

Just make sure you don't crack the Voyager screen because it'll make it hard to watch games on. You also might want to make sure that the TV plan is added to your bill or you might not be able to watch stuff.

I'm pretty worried that I'll end up cracking the screen, because I'm terrible about just throwing things down somewhere without thinking. I wonder if the insurance will cover "Acts of BloodOrange?"

I know many on here are huge fans of the Curve. I'm considering swithing to Verizon to get it, but I'm also thinking of sticking with my current provider, Alltel and getting the Motorola Q. I've had Alltel for 11 years of service (well, originally 360 Communications) and I have never had any trouble out of them. I extremely rarely drop calls and the customer service has always been top notch. I think I prefer the Curve, but it's 100 more dollars from Alltel.

Can anyone give me a good comparison of the Motorola Q compared to the Curve and also any details on what they think of Verizon. I've heard mostly good stories, but I'm really skeptical on jumping ship with a provider I've had so much success with. My main uses for it will be texting and e-mails and keeping close contacts. Any help is much appreciated.

Looking to go to Verizon to get the BB Storm. Anybody seen it or know much about it. I'm a current ATT type and hate the service as much as humanly possible. If Verizon has anything, I'm going there just to get the Storm. If the thing had Wi-Fi, there would be no debate.

I'm switching to Verizon and probably going with the BB Storm as well. Verizon owns like 41% of Vodaphone which is a phone company in Europe and if you sign up for an 18 month contract you get the Storm free with Vodaphone. Some think Verizon will do that over here to help compete with the Iphone.

I've been reading up about the Storm and it's a brand new touchscreen design. You actually have to press the screen down to do typing but still are able to you the sliding technique that other touchscreen phones use. There are like shock absorber things that allow this to work. It work on any 3g network so if you go overseas it still works if you are in tower range.

I'm excited about the release, but if it is higher priced than the Curve I won't get it. Hope that helps.

I disagree. They are already competing with the iPhone with the LG Dare. The Storm is a smartphone that is far more feature rich than the iPhone.

That said, i just got my Dare two weeks ago. Love it.

Blackberry wants to compete with the Iphone and the Storm will only release to Verizon customers.

As the spouse of a Verizon employee I would be shocked if that happened. We are talking about a company that severely cripples thier devices to just get every penny they can out of customers. There is no way they give away what is sure to be a high demand device.

I don't have much experience with either, but my brother hated his Q and loved the curve. If you are a heavy mobile emailer there is not a company out there that can hold BB's jock when it comes to email.
