Its not a waste of time to keep our admin squirming.....I love the petition.....the guy that started it being interviewed on sportstalk.....multiple national media talking about it.....and fans emailing dave hart....I love all of it LOL

You're kidding right? The admin probably is laughing their asses of at this petition, as LWS has pointed out. You wanna make them squirm, hit them where it hurts, the wallets.

Yeah I think they get tired of hearing all of this and the sound will keep growing louder.....I know u disagree but the more public all this stuff is the better.....Yes a Petition is not going to move anything forward but I can guarantee u they wish they werent hearing all this stuff from the fans and especially public perception around the country changing as well. It adds pressure to their next hire which they will undoubtedly screw up

Didnt say they would hire him or anyone else that the fans want....I have stated many times we wouldnt hire Pearl....If our Admin is discussing Pearl then the pressure is getting to them. It might help with their next hire bc they know that coach will be compared to Pearl.

No matter what the case, extend, fire, hire, or rehire there is going to be enough egg on face to go around. This statement by whomever may lead to more phone calls, emails, and letters to the AD. If we don't make the tournament it will be like throwing gas on a fire.

This statement has put pressure on the team, CCM, and the Administrators. Should get interesting. They should have ignored it but they chose to address it.

I believe in this current situation, yes they might. The AD is struggling for cash, if your basketball team isn't producing the revenue because they stink and/or the fans have lost faith in the coach then that becomes a problem.

Cheek the and the sort will only wait so long before they start asking for that money back that they are letting the AD keep.

From a business standpoint, they HAVE to get the best they can, if the best they are after is Marshall and that doesn't happen, then the next best would be Pearl. Business wise he makes you money back most likely in the first year, at most the second. Especially if they start winning on a regular basis again.

We can sit and argue all day long about whether or not Pearl should be hired back because of what happened, or we can realize that this is a business decision and what brings in the most money is what will happen.

Well BTO is right about the wallets though. When everyone wanted Fulmer gone that is part of what influenced the decision that was made. Fan apathy for football and empty seats at Neyland. You must not show up for games if your desire is to see Martin leave. Full stands say Tennessee still has a viable product to sell with Martin at the helm.
