I don't watch any college basketball until tourney time and have little interest in the Basketvols or their coach but I am interested in the Pearl rehire situation because it is so obviously an opportunity to instantly upgrade the program and please the fan base. If Cheek and Hart don't take advantage of this opportunity then it shows me how little they are dedicated to establishing winning programs.

I'm a fan of winning basketball. You know who defines "winning basketball coach" at UT? And for those on their high horse about his lying, if you want to cheer for a squeaky clean basketball program follow a D3 school. This is big time college basketball.

Jerry Green was one win away from the some amount of accomplishments as Pearl.

Can UT get him instead? Probably save some money

I'm not saying he is, but how do you know? You have daily walks in the park with Hart?

If people want to talk about it on a forum where these things are to be discussed, who are you to come in, act like a complete a**, and try to get them to stop?

Not saying you are wrong....and I doubt Pearl will ever be back...

but some of you are very dogmatic about this issue, on both sides, I might say....

my take is this: Unless you are on the AD staff or are Hart, you can't be THAT sure.... again I am not saying Bruce will be back..but stranger things have happened

I'm with this guy. Do I think he is coming back? No, but crazier things have happened and really wouldn't mind it too.
