Bruce will never ever ever ever coach the Tennessee vols again. Forget that. Ain't no chance!

If he coaches again, perhaps at a semi-rogue eastern school. Georgetown, St. John's, u conn, u mass...something like that

I'm sure the Pearl haters and Cuonzo lovers will drill you on this thread, but I think it is a very reasonable thought. Pearl got the job done and no one can argue that. Cuonzo will have PLENTY of talent and experience to make the tournament next year. If he fails then CBP will be back in orange, book it. GO VOLS!

Name one example where a coach flat out lied to the NCAA, was banned for three years, and then he returned to the same school.

There are no examples because it simply does not happen.

Lying to the NCAA is a big deal...a big deal. Or, at least, getting caught is a big deal.

Hart would be crazy not to talk to him. He was the most successful coach in the schools history. He NEVER missed the tournament and he brought big talent to the program. Teams will go after him. Why shouldn't tennessee be one of them?

Agreed. Pearl loves this university, and there's not a better coach available.

The NCAA has lost all credibility after mishandling the Miami case. The NCAA is on its way out.

I like BP just as much as all of you, but it's just wishful thinking it will never happen. Time to move on, and hope CCM can get it done next year. GO VOLS!

Do people not know how the American Sports Redemption Cycle works? First he spends a year unemployed, then he comes back on TV for awhile. Then he takes a job at a lower level program for awhile. Once he wins there, THEN the soft-focus ESPN profiles about his Bruce Pearl's redemption start, officially making him eligible for a serious job again. He's not going to just jump right into a major-conference job next year. He's got to go through the whole cycle of shame first.

I don't think so. I think he's much more publically excepted than Bob Knight and his incidents happened 30 years ago. The difference with Bruce is that he issued a public apology and it was actually sincere. I'm not saying that he will replace coach Martin but I also don't think it's a ridiculous thought.

Oh and the pesky fact that Knight is one of the best coaches of all time and Pearl isn't...

No offense, but . . . Yes . . . It is a ridiculous thought.

And we have people talking about martin like he "is" a coach. Ridiculous.
You don't realize how mediocre your coach is until you watch an rpi 80 nobody dismantle a team you couldn't score 40 points on with less talent.

You think Pearl is more publicly "excepted" than Knight? How do you figure that?
