Would you be for Bruce Pearl's return if Martin is fired after next year?

Yea because ole miss and Memphis were such bad teams.

Let me know when Martin loses to a D2 team.
Lost the second half to Presby. (close to D2)
Looked pretty worried first half of W Carolina.
I question his ability to control the team at times.

Losing a 2nd half to a D1 team doesn't exactly compare, to losing the game against a D2 team. I'd say there's a handful of coaches who have lost "halves" to bad teams, the key is playing well enough to win the game.

This argument is ridiculous. First, I don't think Bruce will ever be back and second, we have a small sample size to judge Martin. That small sample size was with a team that had no returning starters. Look, I loved Bruce's style, and I am concerned about our current offensive play, but people have no patience these days. It is really getting out of hand. We are 10 games into a second year coach, and people are calling for Bruce. On top of that our current coach swept UF and beat a couple of other ranked teams. Again, this is with a team with no returning starters and a 17 year old who was probably our 2nd best player. He also landed his second 5 star players in 16 months on the job. It is really kind of disheartening that some would suggest this. Sometimes I think people don't really believe what they write and just want to get a rise out of people.

Sorry bro but by your typing in caps to prove a point, you are showing a sign of being angry. CM just isn't going to get it done here. PERIOD! accept it! I have heard "this is a poorly coached basketball team" more than I want to admit to.

:)

That has nothing to do with Bruce Pearl coming back, which is never going to happen.

Hope your rite, i just dont see it though. The offense is painful to watch at times, hopefully we can get it going
GBO

As bad as the offense is, the defense is that much better. I know it's cliche, but defense and rebounding win championships, and those are 2 things CCM preaches.

People keep knocking his offense, his system puts up 70ppg when ran right and with shooters, he proved this last year and at Missouri State. Just because through 10 games this year they're struggling doesn't mean CCM is running an offensive system that puts up 60ppg. He doesn't want to score only 60ppg, for some reason people seem to think this and that isn't the case.

Not a knock on you or anyone else, but none of the regulars should be participating in these terrible threads IMO. I know I'm posting in one right now, but I just had to say it.

I love Bruce but that ship has sailed. Pearl was handed one of the best shooters in school history (Lofton - and JuJuan Smith was no slouch either). Whereas CCM inherited Golden, who is not a pg, and some seriously inconsistent shooters. If we shoot a reasonable pct. - coupled with the quality D we've come to rely on - then we're 10-1 and ranked.

Hopefully Reese will give us an outside threat, as will Hubbs.

Let me know when Cuonzo Martin goes to six straight NCAA tournaments, wins the SEC outright, creates demand for skyboxes in TBA and donations for the Pratt Pavilion, makes the Elite Eight, and consistently beats ranked teams at home or on the road. Pearl's teams found ways to win and were exciting to watch. I hope Cuonzo succeeds but it will be extremely difficult playing this style of basketball.

Bo Ryan plays this style and has been to 11 straight NCAAs, so you may wanna rethink that statement.

Dumb. That's the only word that could describe this post. They lost by 1 to top 25 team, genius.

Yet Pearl had us ranked number 1 and took us to the Elite 8....and u could sense from day one that he was gonna do that...but with this coach you don't feel that way AT ALL....and to be honest BBall is not even interesting anymore....

I'm all for bringing Bruce back....he committed a secondary violation....only in trouble bc he panicked and lied about it....lesson learned....bring him back to bring us back to relevance

Haha... All of these people who say that basketball is not interesting anymore. If we win I don't care how it is. Winning is interesting to me... I am a competitor and don't care about style points. When someone says that it is a red flag that they aren't a pure basketball fan and just someone casually watches. Sorry but it seems that way.

Lesson learned? He a 50+ year old man. He knew the damn rules and decided to break them. He didn't learn anything. Guess what, he's not coming back... let it go.

Almost every coach in America has broken them....Pearls problem was the lying not the rule breaking.

Oh come on.. Lying to the NCAA while they're investigating you is against the rules. I'm fairly certain Bruce Pearl knew this.

The barbecue = against the rules (with a slap on the wrist).

Lying to the 'AA = against the rules (see you in a few years)
