Would you be for Bruce Pearl's return if Martin is fired after next year?

I agree but when coaches get a black eye like that (even if it was small) your going to have a lot of kids stay away. It's not like Bruce had the best track record of putting elite players in the NBA either. I just don't see why some think Bruce is the answer to all problems. The NCAA would smack us hard for such a hire. I just don't understand why some people can't accept it that he's not going to coach here and to leave it alone. If they'd direct their attention in getting behind the current coach we have, who actually embraced Tennessee during those dark NCAA looming times, and give the man a chance..I think he'll do great. Either way, opinions aint facts but I still say we are in good hands and to give the man some time.

Pearl is no worse than any other coach. His worst mistake was lying to an incompetent NCAA investigator. "Sneaking dirty" is taking a picture at an event you knew was illegal but went to anyway and then turning it over to the NCAA to set a trap.

Pearl will never coach at UT again. Period. But he will be coaching at the major level again just like Tressel will be back too. Hell, Petrino is back at WKU already - and will be back at a bigger program next year. Once the show-cause is over, programs will hire them because they are winners.

How would you describe secretly recording a phone conversation with a teenager, doctoring the tape so it says what you want, and then turning that over to the NCAA to try to bring down another program?

I hope we don't get there, but I'm saying if martin fails he is gone and if succeeds he is likely gone. Tennessee is a stepping stone for this big ten man. Tennessee fans don't appreciate fundamental basketball enought to tolerate it

And that's fine, if CCM doesn't get it done Bruce still won't be the coach here. That's all I'm saying man, I don't get why some people can't comprehend this.

Players were excited to play in bruces up tempo system....can cuonzo stir some excitement in his slothlike bunch before sec play?

And Counzo has beaten some very good teams too. What's your point?

Pearl lost to Oakland, Charlotte, and USC. Back to back to back. And lost to CofC. This was with 2 mcD's all Americans on the team. Finished the year 18-13. Far from what was expected.

It is way too early to judge CCM.....he is not as good as a lot of our.fans made him out to be nor as bad as some make him out to be.

When did Pearl lose to a D2 team?

I don't make him out to be the next coach K, but I do believe he will have us consistently in the tournament and competing for SEC titles.
