We're going to miss the tournament 3 years in a row anyways but at least we would have still had Pearl. Not to mention, at least we'd be winning games and the games would be exciting. It's pretty hard watching this team lose on top of playing boring basketball.

I told people on here we should have just taken whatever the NCAA punishment was and kept Bruce because we weren't going dancing anyway. I just hope we don't let him get away to some other SEC school.

That would've been stupid. We would've been SMU Footballed.

And you don't have to worry about The Tan Man landing at an SEC rival, because nobody is that desperate.

Pearl will be a HUGE get for some team and the whole athletic department for that matter. As far as I'm concerned now, getting Pearl back is a dream. What a great coach and guy he was. I might just become a Pearl fan, and follow him wherever he goes. He WILL win a championship. If UT doesn't bring him back, they can go f*** themselves.

The man bleeds Orange. He hasn't left like every other ex coach (Except Devoe/Mears). He wants to live here. He wants to coach here. He has an ex wife who is spending his money here. I want him here. Most of Volnation want him here. We can put a electronic monitoring device (cheaply) on his bbq grille. He is the only coach who won here consistently since Mears. I am ready to forgive. He is ready to apologize maybe? I think personally, he's a sleezebag. But, other than Cuonzo, every other cbb coach is so what are we waiting for? He is a great coach for TN. Others can say they are great but once they enter TBA it's over. Except for Pearl. I am willing to put aside the fact that he got himself in trouble.

BRING BRUCE BACK.

I can't envision Bruce being rehired by UT....but knowing him the way we do, the passion, loyalty, and dedication can you imagine how hard he's going to work for whoever does give him a chance....and its going to be our loss...if he were to bring a team into TBA I don't know if I could cheer against him...

A lot of folks are on this site and other outlets talking about re hiring Bruce Pearl. If you really feel that way,you are going to have to step up your efforts, as in:

--Email Cheek and Hart
--Start the "We Want Bruce" chant at games like last night's game.
--Write letters to the KNS and other outlets
--Contact sponsors of the Tennessee Atletics program, the UT radio network, etc.

Yes. I do think Bruce is the best coach for the Tennessee job. No. I don't think the Administration would ever re-hire him (even though some school will hire him in the next year or so and he will be very successful).

However, the large segment fans who want Bruce back should make it difficult for the Administration to ignore them.

Yes, just like they did when they were holding 50-man rallies on top of the parking garage in an attempt to get the administration to keep him.

How large is it exactly? This site is maybe a fraction of total Vol fans. I get attendance is down so that implies fans are unhappy with the current product, but how many want Bruce and how many just want another proven coach?

My guess is most fans would be happy with a new coach but it doesn't have to be Pearl.

They ran a poll state wide through most all the newspapers and the poll over 80% wanted Bruce to stay. I'm sure it has gone up since then.
