It's more likely the football team hires Kiffin back before the basketball program would hire Pearl back.

Jim, as much as we all loved CBP, the university would lose face with the NCAA (not saying much). If I was the Athletic Director, I would not hire him back. He has not proven to me that he is a quality person since the incident. I have to hold UT in high regards and that would include all my coaching staffs. Again, I am one of the biggest CBP fans, I got a BB signed by him when I donated my kidney at UT hospital. But the fact is he has to prove himself somewhere else. GO VOLS!

Only way that the Basketball program will ever get its fire and fan base back to top notch. I think the fan base knows how big a joke the NCAA is with the Miami and Haith ordeal. Pearl should sue the NCAA and I think that the fan base is very sympathetic with him now and it would truly be the best thing for the program and fan base.

Because at the end of the day, do you really think the donors would oppose the Pearl option any after the Miami ordeal? I don't.

People have this delusion that Pearl is the only person who can succeed here. Martin is pretty bad but there is no chance.

It's true that he's not the only one who can succeed here, buts it's a certainty that he can. UT hasn't been very successful with their coaching hires the past few years so I don't trust them to get it right. I'll gladly take a sure thing over another gamble.

Firing Pearl after he got over-penalized by the NCAA...

If UT doesn't bring Pearl back, they deserve what is happening to them. Both on the football and the basketball level.

Basketball season tickets this year. Just another disappointing season and big waste of money. Never again will I "waste" money like that. The only way I would purchase tickets again is if Bruce Pearl is hired after this season. It's unbelievable how our administration and athletics dept. continues to fail at their jobs and hires incompetent coaches

I think I will buy some stock in Pearl Vision. A lot of people seem to be forecasting a rise in stock in the near future.
