No argument that he made UT basketball revelant again. I was very happy with Pearl and thought we had the coach to keep our program at an elite level. He did do lots of good in his time here. It is not opinion that he also made very poor decisions that resulted in bad results for our program and for himself. If you look at his past, he was blackballed by major universities until UT hired him because of turning in another school and using a doctored tape to try to nail them. He cheated on his wife. He lied to the NCAA. He was fired. He was given a three year show cause due to unethical behavior. All that is fact, not opinion. I think you are the one who is having trouble separating fact from opinion.
Youre still confusing facts with opinions.
First off, his private marital issues are irrelevant unless every divorced person in America is also tagged as unethical.
Also, you cant tag him as unethical for turning in another program for recruiting violations. Apparently many other college coaches have some perceived code making that a bad thing. Everywhere else in America whistle blowing is encouraged and protected.
The remainder of your example is all related to the same Craft / cover up issue.
I view his body of work at UT and formulate the opinion that it was 98% positive until he blew it all up by being stupid.
You formulate the opinion that the stupid mistake he made at the end of his run taints everything accomplished in the prior years.
