I am too lazy to.google the article but the one I read also stated that the crafts stated that.bruce pearl never asked them to lie and it was a very odd and weird conversation.....also saw anothet article about.bruce freaking out and was trying to.find out what they were going to say. I would have been begging them to lie and offering cash. LOL

No, I said let's see what happens to Miami after they've challenged the NCAA in public. Nowhere in my post did I state that what happened to Pearl and what happened to Miami is the same. How the hell you tried to combine those two is beyond me. You were stating all along that we shouldn't be afraid to hire Pearl because of what the NCAA might do to UT. Yes, let's basically pull down our pants and moon the NCAA and hire Pearl back. That's basically how they would take it. Then they would crush our basketball program.

Sorry, I like the hoops program too much to take that much risk on a guy who has already been given a show cause once. Again, that would be utterly and completely foolish. Only a true idiot or completely insane AD would do that.

The people that need to grow a pair are the ones that think we can't be successful with anyone but Pearl.

The people that need to grow a pair are the UT administration. Most school would have given the AA the middle finger when they started attempting to dictate who we hired/fired. A solid AD would have cautioned the AA that they should be careful when they consider sanctions if they didn't want their own legal enema. Our AD rolled over like a puppy exposing his belly allowing the AA to promptly disembowel him.

Literally no school in the country would have kept Pearl under those circumstances.

Too many variables. I'm pretty confident in saying we would have missed the tourney last year with Pearl. Without the NCAA mess we'd probably be on a better trajectory.
