Season 4 was worse than season 3, which was worse than season 2. That being said, still better than about 90% of tv.

I liked 4 more than 3.

I don't like where its headed, unless 5 is the last season.

Sydney made the wrong decision.

Yeah I meant because I don't like her. Otherwise you're right.
i like her I just think her acting is very inconsistent. She was excellent in the episode with her friend and kid but that last episode she was awful. Its like she doesn't know what to do in more open ended scenes or something.

I dont like her as an actress or the character. Miscast bigly imo.

First season chit hit the fan and she bolted. I have zero tolerance for that IRL. Lol.

Bye, you're Fired!

IDK why it bothers me so much that this show won a million awards for being a "comedy." And then I watched episode 3.1 and it was just a 30-minute music video, and took a break from the show. All I've heard ever since is that they've been smelling their own farts. I'll probably come back at some point, but I don't miss it yet.

again, just from a technical and visual standpoint it destroys about everything else available to watch. has it declined? yes. It shined when the characters were facing transformation, when there was conflict and there was change happening. its spinning its wheels now from a development standpoint but damn is it pretty to see.

All are restaurants at some point and alot of it was her. No excuse.

Knowing what we know from the last episode Im not excited about season 5.

But oh well, it was fun while it lasted. I don't watch and enjoy movies/shows like you and huff and puff do. Lol. (No criticism)

S1 and 2 were great.

I like Landman and Your Friends and Neighbors more now FTR.

Season 1, 2, and 3 each had nemorable episodes.

Season 1 had episode 7 “Review” that had all the chaos in the kitchen when a bunch of orders came in at once.

Season 2 had the Christmas flashback “Seven Fishes” episode with an excellent ensemble cast. My favorite episode in the entire series.

Season 3 had Forks that showed a ton of character development for Richie.

There wasn’t an episode in season 4 that stood out to me. Maybe the wedding episode because of the guest stars.

The show isn’t as good after season 4 as it was after season 1, but it’s still better than the majority of shows on TV and streaming platforms.

The wedding was definitely the best episode of S4.

only thing about the wedding episode was that it tried way too hard to go against what everyone was thinking would happen in terms of conflict. the whole season was like that, like everyone was on lithium or something. it made for a boring show.

As it has been expressed ad nauseam here this show has progressively dropped since season one BUT the even the heights of season three and four beat out just about anything I’ve watched since True Detective season one, GoT season five, or Breaking Bad. Granted I’m being hyperbolic and with three kids I doing watch as much TV as I used to but I’m still very entertained by this show. It’s very different and it wouldn’t shock my if we see copycat shows try to replicate the Bear. I used to work in a kitchen so I was immediately hooked from the pilot. I’m excited to see where it goes next!

I love the episodes where we see chaos in the kitchens. I hate the episodes where the camera is on Carmy’s face for 45 seconds, and he says nothing but “yeah, um…yeah…” then spews out rapid, yelling word salad at the same time as the other character he’s talking to, so you can’t understand what either of them are saying.

I don’t care for the style of the show, except when they are cooking. I don’t care about the characters outside of the restaurant. They spend way too many minutes outside of the restaurant.

I do agree about the pointless episodes outside the restaurant. I understand it’s supposed to give back stories for characters but the Denmark episode, for example, with Marcus was boring.

The show is at its best when the scenes are shot exclusively in the restaurant and the kitchen.
