GA:
I teach High School English 10th-12th and a college prep course for Honors kids at a 3A. I coach everything played under the sun and some sports that arent.
z:
your right.
As far as something intelligent to discuss, here is my take:
UT: depends on which team shows up...the one that got hammered by UF or the one that hammered UGA
UA: we're pretty consistent through most of our games...much less variance. However, I'd prefer that we play at the upper end of that continuum.
see the new thread i posted...it's not my stuff, but still good.
haha i agree, i did all my grades during fall break so i wouldnt have anything to as far as school work, im already in game mode, we have our championship game this thursday, so this week is definatly a time to kill... some beers this weekend
It was a nice comparison. One thing that you may read about this week is Britton Colquitt. He has been kicking off and drastically improving our field position by limiting the field position of opponents.
It may not seem like much, but in our earlier contests, it seemed that every opposing team was beginning drives from the UT 40 yard line. Field position will be everything in the upcoming matchup.
I'm not one of the UA fans dissatisfied with him. The numbers don't alarm me. Each game we've lost we very easily could've won. The same can't be said for all of your losses.
I'm sorry, I must have missed the Alabama vs. anyone in the top 10 games this year. Western Carolina? Houston? Florida St.? Go play Florida and Cal and then we'll talk about games you could have won. Oh, but you have another tough non-conference game this year against UL of Monroe. What a joke of a schedule.
I don't want to argue w/ you. UT has Ark St., USM, and LA Laf. SoS is relatively close...UT= 31, UA = 39. Not a strong argument on your part.
Football, QB's and help with speacial teams, mostly. I'll have basketball soon and track in the spring. Keep your head up as far as teaching goes. It can be overwhelming, you are obviously aware of that already, but dont let it control you. Take time to relax. Saturday will be my way of calming down...kinda.
Im offically calling a truce with you Zuter. You teach public school. There is a respect that is unspoken between educators. I hope my team beats your team. Thats it.
