No way that was intentional.He wouldn't have had a bat. It was an example of "it would have never happened if Soler never charged the mound, so you can't suspend him" isn't a great argument. He tried to hit Soler in the head with a baseball after (probably) throwing at him intentionally.
I also don't buy the argument of using the baseball as a weapon. You're probably more likely to do more damage with you're bare fist than you are hitting someone with a baseball in your hand.
