I hope he doesn't as a fan of the game, but if he does, good for him. I could see him getting the Career Grand Slam and walking away or something like that. As good as he's been the last few years, he's still got 2 majors left to win. He's already won a ton though...2 Masters, a PGA Championship, a FedEx Cup, multi-time POY, a Ryder Cup, a gold medal. For sure. I feel like he may walk away from golf before he really needs to though. Perhaps he could try baseball. The Braves need someone that can go long.
I’ve heard other athletes say similar things about winning championships. For example, AJ Brown was asked a question earlier this year about how he felt about winning a Superbowl. Don’t remember his exact wording, but his response was basically that the elation wears off in a couple of days then his mind turned to preparing for the next season.I hope he doesn't as a fan of the game, but if he does, good for him. Assuming that what he's saying is genuine, which can be a tricky thing to do, he's one of the most grounded and normal-seeming professional athletes I've ever come across. It is kind of hard to believe though that he's as good at golf as he is but doesn't get some kind of deep fulfillment from it.
I think he probably has a healthier life away from golf than Jordan had (or perhaps still doesn’t have) away from basketball.I hope he doesn't as a fan of the game, but if he does, good for him. Yeah, I agree, mostly. But, Kershaw was awesome with it. He told everybody, what he was going throw and then threw it. My two favorite comments from Clayton, "I don't throw a cutter, Smoltzie", when Smoltz told him to throw a cutter for Strike three. Then when Kershaw went to the bench after Roberts pulled him, he told 'em on the bench, when he was dapping up his teammates, "Suck it, Big Dumper". Just classic, even the wife stopped, watched, loved it and said they should mic 'em up, all the time and she won't watch any sports with me, ever. She even fell in love with PCA, in a motherly way, I think, but either way, I'm a Cubs fan, so it's cool. But, you can't do pitchers, like you said, unless you gotta Kershaw-like personality. Only in all-star games, too. Don't need that sh!t for 162 regular season gamesLove mic-ing guys up. Best part of this by far, but leave the pitchers alone.
Just now saw where he went to that Harvard-Westlake HS where Max, Giolito, Flaherty, and a bunch of other famous high-achievers wentPCA is a mega star @AV_12
