Uh it just means they don’t have enough evidence to charge him with a felony strangulation charge. Officers still say he grabbed her and hit her with his cast, which is not ok regardless of how crazy b she is

Don’t agree with you all that often but this is the only correct approach to this situation. Unless there is a revelation that everything we ever heard/read about the original scenario was a lie from the wife to the cops on down then a reduction in charges makes absolutely no difference in whether he should ever play again.
