99 percent of baseball fights are just slap and tickle affairs. I can't really fault an outfielder for not getting in there immediately. He probably had no idea what was going on until it was mostly over.
I completely agree with the principle, but he's 100 yards away and there's a 99 percent chance it's not even a real fight. Which it wasn't. Plus he's a stoner; I mean, I don't really expect him to come sprinting in and throwing guys out of the way to get to the front for a 1 percent chance that a donnybrook might actually be going on. (And I say this as someone who's completely bought into the Hockey Code of Frontier Justice.)
