Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson is not completely sure when he lost the tip of his middle finger (thinks it was on a punt return) he just pulled his glove off and the tip stayed there (in the glove).

Word?

That seems like a hockey report. Holy cow

Any faith I had in this fan base is lost. Anyone with a pulse would have told you that after the first 4 games on the schedule, we'd be 2-2. Now all of a sudden the sky is falling because we couldn't beat Florida on the road without any semblance of a competent QB.

If you think it's bad now, just wait until next year. We'll be ready to run him off with aspirations of luring Gruden and Cowher again.

I don't want him fired, but I'm probably leaning to the side of him not being successful. The read option crap is beyond stupid with Worley at QB and our offensive line. It says high school quality coaching to me.

But I'm just one man continually being kicked in the nuts by his school. What do I know.

I fail to see how calling something stupid is panicking. I believe there's a middle ground in all of this. Somewhere between calling for jobs and ignoring the current results.

This team is not built for the read option, yet. I see no reason to call a play built on multiple options, when the QB is incapable of doing 2/3rds of them. It's stupid watching Worley act like he's going to run every play. I also see no reason to only call that play for just about all run plays when you have a dominant O-Line and no QB.

It might work in a few years when he has his guys, but in the mean time, I'd like to not lose 8 games this year. And that might require dumping the read option, and going to a traditional offense for a minute.

But like I said, what do I know, I'm just a fan.

It's year 1. Of course the personnel is mismatched.

But - and nobody believes me when I post this - we don't need a running QB to run this offense. There are play of spread/read option teams that don't rely on the QB running the ball.

LOL. Good God man, at least give him time to recruit his personel to play his offense. And to be fair, what offense do you know that would make Worley or Peterman look good? Also news flash, the offensive line is entirely overrated.

The offense as a whole whether it be West Coast or Wing T is garbage. In the words of Lionel Hollins cant sip champagne on a beer budget. Let Butch get his pieces. Also Florida's defense is top in the land. So pump the breaks.

This is a point nobody is making, but I think we're "magically" going to see improvement in the next few weeks because of it.

I saw UGA live last Saturday and they're not blowing anybody's doors off defensively. I really don't want to talk about what Aaron Murray and those two burners on the outside are going to do to our secondary . . . but I think we can move the ball on them.

I'll be heading to K-town with hopes this is true.

Had a UGA fan tell me yesterday that they shouldn't even be ranked. Slight exaggeration, but they aren't impressing folks

Scotty, how you feeling about the Preds this season?

Will be better than last year, but without true top forwards I do not expect anything more than at best a 6th seed in the Western Conference. But who knows, maybe some of the free agent signings will make some moves on the offensive side of the ice. I really like our defense and of our course (starting) goaltending. Just have to put pucks in the net, which has always been a problem.

They're always freaking out. They're like we were around 1996 . . . too busy looking for things that are wrong to enjoy a good run.

Their defense is a little marginal for a top 10 team, but that offense can be scary when it's clicking and has about 4 guys that can take it to the house on any given play. Giving up a kickoff return and a blocked punt in the first half made Saturdays game look closer than it was.

I haven't followed the offseason too much. I do know the defense will be solid, though. I really want to see Jones and Forsberg.
