The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness

Steve Angeli and Syracuse sitting here with the top ranked passing offense in FBS. 7 wins are looking more realistic.

I don't know if kickoffs looking this dumb is worth a higher percentage returned.

It's worth the lower injury rate. Kickoffs are the highest per-play injury rate in the sport, all for a play that is a touchback most of the time. If we go away from this kickoff, it should be going to getting rid of the kickoff entirely.

There's a happy medium. The two things I would adjust:

1) Under 2 minutes in the half, touchbacks go to the 25.

2) On onsides kick, the kicking team can get a five-yard head start (like in college)

I think that would fix a lot of problems. Not fair the Giants basically can give up one play and it's in Brandon Autry's range. I would also shrink the goalposts in the NFL to 15 feet, 6 inches. Kickers are too good. 60 yarders were not meant to be hit with consistency.

Someone mentioned that onside kicks should be moved up to the 40 yard yard line to encourage more onside kicks. You get the ball on the opposing side of the field in that scenario if you recover it and if you lose it, the opposing team isn't automatically in FG range.

Still not sold on the OC. Glad we got the Panthers practice squad dlineman.
That’s fair but it’s been money when the chips are down. Let the guards play guard, the center play center and get the two tackles back - everything will look a lot better.

Two tackles out, center playing LT, LG playing C, RG playing RT. It’s a miracle they’ve blocked any NFL linemen at all.

Yeah you’re right, difficult to judge when your line is thrown together. Definitely helps that 👨‍🍳 is a quick decision maker.

I still don't understand how Ranger Frigging Suarez takes that mediocre ensemble of pitches while throwing 90-92 and puts forth the type of seasons that he has the last 2 seasons. His WHIP since the start of last year ranks him 45th in the majors with a min of 200 IP. His K/9 is 42nd. But somehow his ERA over this time is 3.15 (18th).

He has 1 pitch that rates as a great pitch which is the curve. The rest of his pitches have mediocre movement profiles that sit around 91 MPH or lower. Dude should be getting hammered on the reg.
