They weren't, but unfortunately they are both better than the guys who will be there this year. At least Toot could come up and make a tackle in the backfield occasionally and seemed to have some leadership qualities.Both were not good. Especially in pass coverage.
Crompton was simply awful. He had 3 or 4 good games under Kiffin but mainly just stopped being a liability. The amazing thing about Crompton is that his career passer rating is a full 10 points less than JG and he actually threw more picks than JG despite a lot less throws.Crompton was not worse, especially under Kiffin. Stephens didn't play enough. I suppose you could put Worley in the same ballpark.
