He's been good. Even if his wRC+ was 160 I'm not sure with this team it would matter.

Doesn't help MLB once again messed with the ball it has nerfed us.

I still don't think we trade Sale since we currently only have Schwelly as the other top end SP going into 2026 (unless Strider figures it out).

But trading Sale is just about the only we're going to acquire a SS. I suppose we could sign Bichete or potentially Kim, but neither of those seem like something AA would do (we already passed on Kim this past off-season).

There are a couple other options though. The Cards and Guardians both need offense and their Catcher situations are terrible. And both the Guardians and Cards have great organizational depth at SS. Murphy might be able to pull a quality SS prospect from one of them.

If they could pull Weatherholt for Murphy, my faith in AA would be partially restored.

Wetherholt is on track to be a top 10 overall prospect. I think they see him as their future 2b, so I doubt he's available.. But Thomas Saggese should be on the table. His slash line is largely inflated by a .433 BABIP, but he's still a very solid player.

Nick Allen sucks. But he's still on pace for a better season than Arcia gave us last year.

And he's been worth more WAR than Harris or Albies thus far.
