I think I'm going to try my annual tough mountain century ride on Saturday. My riding is down quite a bit from prior years, but my time on a 70-mile training ride was comparable to last year, so I guess I can handle it?
Toying with the idea of doing Tuesday through Thursday, then spending Friday riding 130 miles from Ottumwa home. It ends a few hours ride from my house, though. I have to be in Dubuque for a Kesha concert that Sat night and possibly home for an awards dinner on Friday, so I can't do the full.
I briefly looked at the website. It appears the ride is ~60 miles/day, which, unless I'm overlooking something, doesn't seem difficult in flattish terrain.

Not sure how I'm going to find time to train for this, but I plan on giving it another go. Dropped 1.5 hours from the official finish time and 40 miles from the route. A little easier route. Hoping for a tailwind rather than the 25mph steady headwind from last year.
