That's racist!

True, It shouldn’t be viewed as rude or demeaning. It’s a sad reality and these kids are going to grow up in a world where they have little to no chance at success and prosperity. With AI and Tech taking over, only the best of the best will fill available positions and the rest will be left swinging a hammer or hoping for UBI. The school should be investigated and scores exposed.
It’s all over the place and should not be excused. Memphis had 16 schools shut down a few years ago because the kids couldn’t read or do math at a grade school level.
Great dem leadership there…

The ignorance is wide spread. Kids in public school during the Covid farce have even less knowledge due to not being in school for a year or 2. Shameful that we spend the most money per student on Earth and yet our kids rank around 30th in actual knowledge from what I understand.

She IS the WNBA...for now. I won't be surprised at all if she leaves that league after her rookie contract is up. Why not? Shes stupid rich already from her endorsements, which pay her many times her league salary. If she gets the itch to play again, she can always go play in Europe and not have to worry about racist haters like Angel Reese's raggedy butt. Not have to get mean mugged and fouled constantly for being white. Not deal with all the drama and press in the WNBA constantly stirring up stuff. Shes the best female to ever play basketball. Why put up with a league full of jealous lesbians that hate you? Where's the fun in that? Reese is hilarious. She is obsessed with Clark almost as bad as a couple posters here are obsessed with Trump. Rent. Free.

It's even more dramatic when you look at health care. Our per capita health care costs are far greater than even the second most costly country and yet..............

As of 2026, the United States ranks 30th among the 38 high-income OECD countries for life expectancy at birth.

I guess the conclusion would have to be that our health care system is even a bigger failure than our educational system.

The healthcare system has its issues due to a mix of government involvement, Big Pharm, Big Insurance companies, trial lawyers, and too strict regulations and systems, however it's still one of the best in the world.

The "rankings" are low because they don't account for the reasons a large bunch of Americans are "sick" - obesity, diet, drug use, alcohol use, gang violence and high amount of traffic accidents. These are all due to people's choices and lifestyles, the actual healthcare most Americans get is top notch

But healthcare, education, housing, etc. in America all is stemmed from the same issue, government involvement trying to "help"

So you're saying personal decisions and lifestyle choices impact the effectiveness of the health care system?

hmmm....interesting. I'm curious if the same could be said for the educational system?

Surely people wouldn't be so biased and shallow as to consider those things in one instance but not the other.

Absolutely, there are several reasons why public education has been failing.

- bad or absent parenting among certain subgroups
- the "just pass them no matter what" sect of modern teacher groups
- the complete politicization of teacher unions, especially into bigger cities to become a money laundering operation for the Dem Party
- a severe rise in hiring sex offenders and pedos and trans teachers
- government dictating teaching standards and methods
- the huge rise in hiring useless Admin staff at schools, it's become a taxpayer funded babysitting service for unqualified adults
- the rise in IEP/Special ED students and the need to put them in regular classrooms
- the failure to properly discipline or expel students who are violent or druggy in the name of racial equity
- simply the schools taking in more money than they ever have and wasting it on the above

Thankfully, private and charter schools and homeschooling have been the answer which is why fewer and fewer kids go to public schools each year, forcing many to close

lol
10% true
30% partially true to varying degrees
60% total nonsense.

which would get you a score of 82 in the average private school

My wife is teaching in a private school for the first time this year and has never experienced the pressure to pass kids like she has this year. Parents spending 25k a year don't have failing kids.....period.

Does the private school have the same standards to pass as public schools, or do they have higher standards?

I have no doubt private schoolparents can be unreasonable just like public school parents, but I have no doubt holding the students to a higher standard creates a lot of that pressure.

Not to mention there is an actual expectation of the CHILD to be smart and have success after graduation in those schools unlike inner city public schools.

Thus why the private, charter and homeschooled kids have better outcomes and lives

The school level standards are similar.

It's been my experience that with standards, expectations, performance....
Among the top 10-15% of students in the school - public is higher.
Among upper middle 50-85% - public and private are basically equal.
Among the lower middle 15-50% - private is higher.
Among the bottom 15% - it's rarely a "school issue".

She’s a disgusting human being…..
I am perplexed, we live in a free country that permits anyone other than those incarcerated to freely leave. If we’re such a horrible country full of miserable people why don’t these people just leave and go to a better place run by ________(fill in the blank, communist, socialist, black women, Muslims, white supremists, etc)

America is so horrible literally people from every single country in the world wants to come here and be us, (well the good ones, the rest want to come for free money/stuff)

Portugal sounds great, but it costs like $10k to get out of US citizenship and $250k to buy a golden visa
