That's racist!

Fast-food workers in 15 cities planning to strike on Friday, demanding higher federal minimum wage

A couple of things that caught my attention:

1. "By raising the minimum wage to $15, we can benefit nearly 40 million Americans — predominantly women and workers of color — while reducing the racial wealth gap and giving millions of essential workers who put their lives on the line every day a permanent raise..."

I never knew working in fast food is putting your life on the line. If it is, it has more to do with the location of the restaurant.

2. What does a Zoom strike look like? A bunch people sitting in their jammies or underwear doing "Hey, Hey, Ho, Ho" chants?
The lazy bums still won't work for that

Once they go to $15 or more minimum wage. Say goodbye to the $1, $2 & $3 deal menus and likely everything else will go up by a couple of bucks.

The local mom n pop restaurants will have to let people go to cover the higher wages of a smaller staff. HS students will find it harder to find waitressing jobs.

And the people they’re trying to help will be the ones losing their jobs

It’s the mom and pops stores and restaurants that won’t survive. The big chain stores & restaurants will be alright because they be able to cut labor costs by moving more towards automation. Just another way the dims can screw over small businesses.

You know, I'll support this if and when they can get an order right consistently through the drive thru.

All I know is those f’ers better not ever mess up another order making that kind of money.

Have you actually hired HS kids lately? In terms of worth, most, but not all, should be paying the business...

I’ve got a great one. At a local business and there Is a couple sitting in the waiting area. The husband is playing this left wing anti fascist, BLM recording at top volume on his phone. You can hear it through the whole area. It literally is some guy reading a script of leftist narratives. This is obviously distracting and interrupting the conduct of business at this establishment as other patrons are looking around with WTF looks in their faces. Now if this were someone playing a Trump speech or a variety of other right wing messages, they would have been approached and told to please turn that down.

I’ll let you guess why this was allowed to go on for 30 minutes without anyone ever saying a word.

and a full fuel tank just like Memphis, Birmingham, Louisville, New Orleans, and just about every where in Mississippi.

To be fair, I did spend a lot of time in rural Mississippi during the 80s. Wasn't bad. Some phenomenal restaurants there (Doe's Eat Place in Greenville being at the top of the list. One "experiences" Doe's).
