Fast-food workers in 15 cities planning to strike on Friday, demanding higher federal minimum wage
A couple of things that caught my attention:
1. "By raising the minimum wage to $15, we can benefit nearly 40 million Americans — predominantly women and workers of color — while reducing the racial wealth gap and giving millions of essential workers who put their lives on the line every day a permanent raise..."
I never knew working in fast food is putting your life on the line. If it is, it has more to do with the location of the restaurant.
2. What does a Zoom strike look like? A bunch people sitting in their jammies or underwear doing "Hey, Hey, Ho, Ho" chants?
