Nobody even knows who they are, and nobody in Cedar City is going to make their lives hell over this. They're getting a good life lesson at probably no real cost. Unless you think getting cyber-bullied by people who don't know who they are is that much of a punishment.

It's humiliating for people from Utah, so there's that.

If you’re humiliated by these kids you have a bigger problem than they do.

The fact the police had to put out a statement about them is completely asinine and the people in the article saying they were committing a hate crime are morons. Was it tasteless and dumb, yes it was but the overreaction is worse.

So you feel nothing when people make jokes about racist southerners? It sucks being from Utah/Tennessee and people thinking it's a racist state. I have state pride. IDK why I have state pride, but I don't think it's a problem, let alone a bigger problem than being a racist troll.

The overreaction is more offensive than what they did? What are you talking about? You think people getting offended is and condemning them and the parents is worse than the actual action? I'm sure somebody took it too far, but not sure what you're referring to.

The police seem to be worried about the bullying (which they shouldn't be) moreso than the incident (which they also shouldn't be worried about). No idea why they are involved, except for the fact that cops obviously don't like the idea of racists getting video'd and going viral.

People are overly sensitive and get offended too easily so no I don’t have much sympathy for the offended. I’m not offended by people who think southerners are racist or hicks or whatever, I think they’re dumbasses so we’re even.

The best way to get a dumbass to stop doing dumbass things is to ignore them, they’re doing it for the attention.

The fact that this is tolerated by ABC shows the hypocrisy and the fact that racist people can be dressed up in front of an audience and live TV with no hood needed. But Fox news is the problem.

Nope, this is something some people feel should ruin these kids' lives. This one "hate crime" is worse than the huge number of actual violent crimes committed by people of crime.

OK, Most should have seen the video of the KY student by now "assaulting" the black girl/student worker. And she is withdrawing from school and seeking treatment. And I was thinking how horrible to treat another person regardless of color in such a way. THen I thought, would it have been a story at all if was black on black or black on white. THen I saw an fuller version of the video, and the whole time the only two things that caught my attention were:
1) That's the worst cat fight I've ever seen regardless of who's on who. And it was 1 on 2. White girl should have been scarred for life.
2) Are they spending the entire altercation trying not to laugh??!!
