Thanks alot Phil and Erik

Folks it has been a long dry spell on the Hill, we need someone to get the waters flowin again.

Phil didn't lose the game, and yes he has 2 SEC and 1 National Championship. But he also has been blessed with the top freshman classes for the last several years and done nothing. I think the National Championship was 1998 -- this is 2007.

And the one before that was 1951.

Its somebody's fault Jonathan Zenon knew UT wouldn't be going long on third and 10.

He knew because Ainge never looked him off; he was locked onto that received even before he took the snap.

I could have picked that pass.

Was the question not, "what has Phil ever done?"

Are you retarded? Because EVER and LATELY are two different things.

It's pretty simple really. Who cares if he's sucked lately. That has nothing to do with EVER.

But please, continue to show ignorance by not paying attention.
Seems the ignorance is on you. The word ever wasnt used. I said they had issues folding in big games, and if you exclude those 3 he really hasnt excelled in the biggies. Yes those are HUGE games, but lets look at the short comings in big games in recent history. I cant say decade but it is almost up.

So please continue to point out my ignorance, I find it refreshing and somewhat humbling
:shaking2:

good point. we should just sit back, relax and assume that eventually accountability will creep itself back into our program and our staff will consistently feel the need to perform. It typically happens on its own after long backslides.

The offense was bad, not just Ainge. 14 pts won't beat anybody in a championship game.

Kick-off returns gave UT good field position several times during the game and UT came up empty. Couldn't run the ball with Foster. Ainge was forced to try and win the game and threw interceptions instead. The offense had their worst game of the year. Ainge had trouble reading LSU's defense. The offense just wasn't ready.

it started creeping back in about 7 yrs ago. If Doug Dickey were AD today there would be a change. He wasn't afraid to replace a TN icon and Hamilton shouln't be either.

be careful what you wish for.

say UT lets Phil go, to me a stupid idea but just say it happened.

someone like Arkansas picks him up and pound our asses forever from there.

don't be stupid people, Erik sucks and we lost a SEC title on him and him alone.

everyone else on the Vols sideline showed up to win a game today except #10.

deal with it.

watching that boy play all year and it has given me a ulcer i think.

and what is on his fingers that he is licking them like he can't get enuff of whatever it is?

heres a thought. If Karl Pickens could play both ways and make a difference, then why not try feeding eric berry a few balls on offense?

if you want to go 9-3 every year with no championships, then I guess all is well in Knox-Vegas.

Yes he made some mistakes tonight but ONE player is not going to lose a game.
Anyone who knows JACK about football knows that the better team with more talent won this game. We had many many chances and we didn't get it done, a dropped pass here a miss block there and 2 bad interference calls were also involved in the game.
I am proud of the showing we gave tonight against a team that should be playing for a national title if not for a fluke lose to Arkansas.

I'm disappointed but anyone on this board who thinks Ainge or CPF lost this game has NO CLUE about the game. This is a young team and tonight I saw many of them grow up and the future looks good.

Georgia and Florida watched the game from some other location. We played in it.

I'm proud of the Vols and plan to be with them at the bowl game.

GO VOLS

indy we are in the SEC 9-3 is pretty damn good for this conference which
is by far the toughest in NCAA football.

especially 9-3 with Erik taking snaps.

funny i thought we have won the SEC 13 times only second to bama's 19.

you don't know ruff, you should try living here in gator country with Vols apparel. :)

one player can lose the game, the QB, didn't you watch the game tonight OV?

you cant blame fulmer because he doesnt do anything, he doesnt call any plays and doesnt coach defense but thats something else, the bottom line is Angie got exposed, they new all he could do is throw short and the executed, plus lincoln really killed your momentum, but i have to hand it to our defense...one hell of a game from them

There is NO way that their talent was better tonight. They started a freshman qb, their best d player was injured we hurt their best wr injured their qb and still didnt step on their throat.

DUDE. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PHIL, THE COACHS CALLED A GREAT GAME. CHAVIS MADE ADJUSTMENTS AND SO DID CUTCLIFF, IT IS NOT PHIL'S FAULT THAT AINGE IS A BUMM. HE REMINDS ME ALOT OF A SLOWER ANDY KELLY. PHIL STILL HAS 1 OF THE BEST WINNING % OF ANY COACH STILL IN THE GAME. SO U NEED TO CHILL BOUT PHIL. JUST REMEMBER 1 MORE GAME AS A VOL FOR ERIK AINGE. ITS PEOPLE LIKE U INDY THAT MAKES THE REST OF US LOOK STUPID, WHO THE H E L L ARE WE GONNA GET TO REPLACE HIM. JOHNNY "FREAKEN" MAJORS. SO SET DOWN AND ENJOY THE BOWL GAME. :peace2::rock:

you are right 9-3 is good in the SEC, but it will NOT win you a championship. In recent years how many of us has said the future looked bright? But yet here we are again saying that. (are we turning out to be Cub fans) the wait till next year garbage is just that. We want results not hopes and dreams.

This was all Ainge...it's not Phil's job to make reads during a play. The 4th down attempt was null anyway b/c Ainge threw the INT

I think you better rewind the tape it was not 4th down on the 2nd interception....... the 4 and 4 was an incomplete pass

well reasoned. we can't find a better replacement, so just suck it up. it was the players' fault anyway, the coaches have had nothing to do with the poor results this season, only the good ones.
