Thanks alot Phil and Erik

Dude, sometimes it is the player's fault. How the hell do you not realize that? Can Phil catch the damn ball for the WRs that are wide open? Can he make the simple reads for the bonehead QB? Can he make the tackles? We weren't conservative. We used about 6 types of offense. We blitzed a ton and from every angle. We went for it on 4th down. He had the punt team ready for the fake. It was EXECUTION not coaching.

Couldn't have said it better

What should we have done? They stuffed our run when we ran. When we went deep(we did go deep, 3-4 times), it was thrown into coverage.
support them all you want. the 4th and 4 try in lieu of FG in the 4Q was an abortion. Our QB had made no plays at big moments and was well under 50% at that point. He made a good throw, but to Denarius Moore? Take the FG, get the ball back and move on.

Maybe it had a little to do with the fact that LSU came out uninspired to start the game and they didn't execute. After that initial smack, they played up to par.

They were injured and under manned and we didnt step on their throats. There is no killer instinct in this program.

I was saying to myself the whole time that if we could get to 21-13 we would win. We just couldn't do it.

Yeah, you are right. We didn't run a screen on that last drive that got us 25 yards. We didn't run them at all. We can't use the same play 100 times.

We didn't throw short on every 3rd down and long either. For the most part, we tried to throw it deeper and Ainge had to throw it away because of pressure.

I completely agree. All Phil is good at is coming up short in the clutch, losing the big game, and getting consistantly out coached!

Last I checked out screen passes were working well, and our out routs were open. But what do I know. You and Phil should get a room.

They made adjustment and we didnt. That seems to be the issue in most of our games. Crusty old southern stubborness. Johnny had and Phil is getting it

I have to agree with a lot that is posted. As mad and disappointed and hurt that we lost, I want to take all my orange and mail it to PF and thank him for another wonderful year. It is the same year after year, get the lead and sit on it and lose. It is time for a change. The norm is if you don't win a championship within a specific number of years, it is time to find someone is can. It is obvious that the coaches we have cannot get it done regardless of the talent that is there. The defense played very well, the offense as a whole did not. LSU knew we weren't going to throw deep, guessed right and won the game. Look at the season and you can count the deep balls thrown all year on one hand pretty much. As a freshman Eric had zip on the ball. As the years passed, his throws started getting less zip and more hang time. I don't know if he will make it to the NFL, but if he does, best of luck to him. I will not watch the Vols in the bowl game because four disappointments in a season are enough for anyone. It's time for a change...

Yeah, bigpapa, because our kicker was so much better than 50%. O wait, he was 0-2 and neither kick was extremely difficult. We needed a TD regardless and that was our best shot.

So you're saying phil did a good thing by going away from a play that worked consistantly all night. Whatever, people like you are the reason we will be stamped with the badge of mediocrity for eternity.

This was a no win situation for Fulmer. Half the people would have said he is too conservative if he kicked and the other half say he should have kicked when he went for it. He is a goat either way unless he converts the 4th down and should have if the receiver does his job

I'm done arguing with you jackasses. You don't want to put any of the blame on Ainge but you can't tell me what Fulmer should have done differently. I don't care if he is back next year and we deserve a title, but it is sheer stupidity to blame him for this loss. Ainge threw the game away period. Moore dropped the game. Hell, even Eric Berry got lost in coverage on the long TD(the perfect coverage was called, he just didn't show support soon enough). The coach put the players in the right position, they just didn't execute. I'm out.

Peace. I'm outta here. I alse will not be watching the bowl game. I can't wait intill tomorrow when my professional underperforming team, the Saints, finds a way to statch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I am not a Fulmerite and I don't care who gets us to the next level, I just don;t think coaching was the problem tonight.

Hey, all I can say is look what a change in coaching did for the basketball team. For what we're paying Phil, we can get someone who can spark something.

Open it up. Make the necessary adjustments. These arent new issues. These come from about 7 years of under-achieving. Does anyone remember Fulmers first game as official head coach? wasnt the first play from scriimage in the HOF bowl a deep pass to the 1? wasnt that game played all out, and wide open? all I am saying is he has gotten soft in recent years and I dont see him changing for the good. Hell even leading up to that bowl game he was aggressive. The thing is he was interviewing for the job and lately he has gotten conservative.

Ainge threw the game away not Phil

We can't put that all on Ainge....the receiver saw that the DB didn't back up........had he taken two steps toward the ball....inc. pass at worst....Young receiver mistake............I'm hurtin' like everyone.....BUT,

Not all that's on Ainge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What has Fulmer done? 2 SEC Championships - 1 National Championship.

Now shut up.
Phil didn't lose the game, and yes he has 2 SEC and 1 National Championship. But he also has been blessed with the top freshman classes for the last several years and done nothing. I think the National Championship was 1998 -- this is 2007.

And look what that move did for Pat. Got her fire and enthusiasm back. I think Phil left his notebook at home.

It worked well for Nebraska and Alabama. Have to be careful. The grass isn;t always greener

watch Nebraska and Bama in the years to come. With Osborne out there recruiting till he hires a coach. He will get the right players and coach. Saban may be a pain in the ass,but the man can motivate kids. alas steve spurrier. talk about guys getting the most with less. Wouldn't anyone like to see what they could do with this talent?
