Thankfully ref swallows whistle!

After seeing SC, UGA, Tennessee etc, I don't know why any DC tries to convert to a 3-4.

Ward basically rode what Ellis Johnson and Brad Lawning established. Once all of there players left which is last year our defense fell apart.

No its below average. We allowed Furman to put over 300 yards of offense on us. Furman lol. Clowney was a loss but we also lost 2 other starters on the dline along with both starting corners and the starting spur player.

You're the type to make an excuse as to why your wife of 10 years left you for an 18 year old who works trash pick up. Take your loss and quit making excuses as to why your team sucks. Butch has to pay a property tax on Steve Spurrier because he OWNS him.

He wasnt making excuses. He was telling why they sucked. lol

That's not gonna get called 99% of the time. So now we are inventing ways that we lost when we won. Unreal.

If you paid attention I said all week that we would make Tennessee offense look like a NFL team numb nuts because of how bad our defense was. This is something I stated multiple times pregame.

Point is, if you're on the short end of that play, you want the flag. But if you're being honest, you know you're never going to get that call.

I kinda think if it had not of occurred at such a crucial point in the game they would have thrown the flag. Kinda off topic a little, but I've always thought that Jabar Gaffney's fantom catch would not of counted if he had of been outside the endzone.

Some will demand a link. This should help you prove your point that your defense sucks.
Game By Game Stats

On the other hand, your offense is not too bad. We are glad that your defense sucks more than your offense is good.

We appreciate the W.

Hahaha it was a great game. I believe it took 10 years off my life. Hate games like that. Would rather get blown out. You boys earned the win though

I think I read someone stating the whistle hadn't blown yet, but I'm not sure. It maybe could have been called. Also, it looks like an acting job by Thompson on the push. At least it did to me on slow mo.

Thompson's a crybaby wimp. He needs to talk to his OL more than the ref's. I hate this silly garbage protecting QB's these days. Hail to the guys who played back in the day when you could get slobberknocked at any time on a football damn field. That is the game. We've become a wimpy society today. Had my bell rung many times. Concussions dont hurt you like they claim.

At the end of the game when Barnett slings SC QB around like a rag doll, and then Obrien gives him a good hand check to the shoulder pads; was this a good no call? If it had of happend earlier in the game rather than at such a critical moment, do they throw the flag?

Could have been flagged. Probably should have been. But there were a few INT calls not made against USCe that could have turned the game including one in the end zone in OT that prevented Croom from making another TD grab.

There was also a clear hold committed by USCe in the end zone that was not called. The 'Cocks didn't get cheated by any stretch.

He even tried to flop while laying on the ground once. He looked like he was being tased. Punk crap like that earns no calls.

You're right, but that's football. If it was Dobbs, I would have been pissed that we didn't get the call, but I wouldn't have been the least bit surprised to not get it. And to be sure, that's not the reason you all lost. You lost because we had the most prolific offensive game we've had in 20 years.

Actually that no call went a long ways in allowing us to win. That was on 3rd down, they punted the next play and we scored the tying TD. If that's called its an automatic 1st down and we never get the ball back.

We've been on the other side of those calls WAY TOO MANY TIMES to give this one the benefit of our tear ducts. :cray:

You mean when the Tennessee defenders took 2-3 steps after he released the ball and planted him. Yeah I'd get pissed to. I don't use the no call as a excuse because we both had equal opportunities in OT but Tennessee was given a gift on that no call. He was down and then got slung. Whistle blows then another defender pushed him while he was flat on his butt. No acting in that. Just pure shock that the refs allowed him to get mugged in broad daylight.

If he wouldn't have double clutched on the flop he may have got the call. It's one of those calls that could have gone either way. We have had many go the other way. I would have been hoping for the call too if it was reversed but would know they made a play to win it. It didn't affect the play.

None of them was a personal foul, intent to hurt the QB. Yes he was whining the whole game, but I'm sure VolNation will agree that its about time....we get the no calls

A personal foul is generic for unsportsmanlike conduct or unnecessary roughness, there doesn't have to be intent to hurt. There's no way O'Brien's antics werent worthy of a flag. I'm glad a no-call, mistake by SEC officials finally went our way.

And complaining about how you should have gotten a BS call like that to win is the definition of butthurt fan.

It could have went either way. If you depend on the officials to win the game for you, you don't deserve to win. I've said the same thing in the past when UT lost. The way Carolina's defense played they didn't deserve to win. I'm just glad the referees let the game get decided on the field.

The refs missed the call and had they called it correctly, it would have given SC a first down and game over. We were very fortunate and I imagine Cockytalk was going in full meltdown mode after the game on that one.

Barnett did the right thing the player was not down completely when he was the ref blew the whistle

So, by your standards there should be a personal foul called on pretty much every play
