Tobasco is best for sauces and sheet. Cholula or one of many other fine choices on meats. Texas Pete is alright, but I can think of some better ones to put in the vote-o-sphere.
Behr, RV showed me that Sriracha is one of the top versatile hot sauces as per Cook's Illustrated study. Tabasco didn't even make the list. Texas Pete was in the top ten.
