Texas or USC?

You simply aren't doing a good job defending your argument. The all-star game argument might be the worst rationale other than "California gets it."

Your argument is biased as you are in the industry.

Recruiting rankings are a good roadmap but you are using them as the end all be all.

The best talent evaluators...NFL gm's agree w me.

Blogger? Or for a publication?

Columnist. Multiple publications throughout the South. Mostly small, papers who find it easier to buy my column than keep someone on salary. It's not what I do to pay the bills, but maybe some day.

NFL GMs aren't scouting players for the college game. And that's what this thread is about. We could name a slew of highly ranked recruits who had great college careers and did nothing in the NFL.

Again, my point is that being the premier program in TX makes recruiting easier than being the premier program ib CA. Though I don't mean to suggest that CA is hurting for talent.

I would be interested in reading your articles.

Although I am sure you want to keep your identity private on here.

I think it's 1a and 1b.

CA being slightly better. Florida is right there as well.

Sorry, not going to happen. I post on message boards because I like back and forth. Even if a paper has a comment section on my column, I really can't get into it with someone. I like to debate; it's probably a mental/emotional problem.

Definitely Texas. Whomever takes over the USC job will probably get hit with more sanctions from Kiffin's recruiting over the years.

Don't care about that thread. I just stated facts and you're only response was, "see the thread with opinions of retards."

I personally see it as a non-issue, but you never know how alumni and school presidents will act after bad press.

The issue is there is a lot of negativity that will hurt in recruiting. This may not be the 'end', but very well may be the beginning of the end.

Pelini's record is decent. But it's worse than Frank Solich's record, and they fired him.

Pelini's biggest failings, other than his demeanor, are that he's yet to win a conference title (in a weak conference at that) and a mediocre record against ranked opponents: 8-13. He's only 2-9 against Top 10 opponents.

I'm not suggesting that he's on his way out, but Nebraska is only going to put up with being slightly above average for so long.

I wouldn't want to play for him. Seems like a huge a-hole.

can't understand why anyone would want to go to the hell-hole that is USC. if you've never been by their campus or the Coliseum, it's worth a trip just to see what college shouldn't be like.

The campus is nice. The surrounding area isn't. Many years ago that area was actually affluent.

Downtown LA is a lot nicer today than it used to be with LA live etc.

Also, for the most part gangsters stay away from the campus as it would cause them extra grief.

UCLA is actually in a great spot. Beautiful campus and great part of LA.

Never said he was a bad coach - but someone wants him out - why does a 2011 recording suddenly surface 2 years later and after a loss to UCLA at home ?

idk..but as long as he wins 9+ games a year, which he does every year, he is safe..

Unless Mike Hamilton's is the AD..............

I heard a sip caller on our local show this morning say they all want James Franklin in Austin.

Agreed. Just thought it was strange since most of them appear to think they can get Bill Belichek. At least they act like it.
