Here’s a tip folks. We just landed a ton of metal, equipped with cameras and microphones on Mars. Nearly 300 million miles away.

Yet, we have people burning their furniture and dying in their cars. C’mon people, no reason to politicize it, this shouldn’t happen, it’s greed. It’s that simple.

The topic is the hypocrisy of Ted Cruz ... and it couldn't be any thicker.

In December, Sen. Ted Cruz called Austin Mayor Stephen Adler (D) a "hypocrite" for taking a trip to Cabo San Lucas with his family in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic. Sen. Cruz strongly suggested that it was inappropriate for an elected official from the state of Texas to take a trip to a Mexican resort while his constituents were suffering back home. That was just two months ago. Sen. Ted Cruz has also tweeted advice to parents in Texas to keep their kids safe at home. This was a self-inflicted and easily avoidable political blunder on his part.

That might have worked... if Cruz hadn't already made it a practice of his to criticize other politicians (including fellow Republican Chris Christie) of taking trips to the beach during a time of crisis. There is no way to avoid the appearance of hypocrisy. That statement that you wish he had given, expresses a sentiment that those people who he has been critical of in the past, could have also expressed.
