Tennessee vs OSU Sweet 16 Game Thread!

Exactly. It's absolutely inexcusable not to get Lofton the ball in that situation.

Of course, that's just my opinion and I'm not a basketball coach, but it seems to be pretty common sense.

I sort of agree, but with 6 seconds to go and having to go the length of the court, having Ramar go to the rack is not all that bad a shot either. At that point you pretty much have to just take what you get.

Think about it this way, if the NBA wouldn't have suggested that a Player out of High School should attend atleast 1 year in College, we would be in the Elite 8.

So, the NBA cost us the game. :banghead2: :)

I guess I can understand the bitterness. But I'll give your team props nonetheless. Great effort by the Vols. You'll be terrific next year.

I know I'm repeating myself but that was actually a very good play.

refs will almost never call a foul when that happens unless somebody just hauls off on the shooter. they never want to end a game on the freethrows and usually let the players play it out

I agree with you. It just sucks that we had to lose that way. I think that I would have rather them blown us out. It would have been easier to deal with. :cray:

I would say that 6 seconds left qualifies for the exclusion policy as well.

Free throws, missed layups, our post players were nonexistent, Bradshaw killed us down the stretch, and to top of it off we didn't get the ball to our clutch player. We deserved to lose. Hey Pearl...recruit a friggin big man and make those boys shoot free throws all summer and u can make the Final 4 next year!:lolabove:

im with x on this one, we should all be mad at David Stern right now and the NCAA allowing movie monsters to play with humans

Any other team and I would be completely fine with Ramar taking that shot. I just don't think he has much of a chance when Oden is on the other side. I just would rather have Lofton taking the last shot.

6 seconds was enough time to get Lofton the ball. If nothing else, you throw the ball into him and let him bring it up the court.

It was a decent drive by Ramar, but he's the freshman. You get the ball to your playmaker in those situations.

true...but everyone knows lofton is the one whose going to have the ball...i think u still give it to ur point guard and let him drive

I agree with that. :banghead2:
