We'll get a good insight as to this team's toughness today. They've got a boatload of excuses at their disposal. Cross country travel. A week's layoff. The Holidays. No Duke Crews. A lack of time with the current rotation playing together. I'll be interested to see how they react. This is exactly the kind of game a team that fashions itself a player nationally should win.

Tip off is at 4:00 EST on ESPN2.

It's game Tennessee should win. A loss today will be a huge indication to me that I have vastly overestimated this team.

agreed. Gonzaga, as strange as it sounds, is living a bit off of reputation this season.

I hope we win. The zags don't look all that good to me. I maybe wrong but we should run this team until their wore out.

It'll be intiguing to see how Memphis handles all the praise that's been heaped on them after the Georgetown team. If they slip, Arizona is fully capable of beating them.

they still have a true freshman point guard. he's great, but he still makes some young mistakes.

I think we've probably seen Memphis' worst ball (while CDR was struggling) and they'll get better from here. The press clippings won't change how they play D or how athletic they are.

Is having home court advantage in college Bball a big deal or not as much as it is in football?

Hat, or anyone, do you guys think Memphis will kill us or what? I havent really heard anything bad about them on this board besides they have a freshman point guard....

They shoot the deep ball very poorly.

I don't think anyone should kill us, but they play great D (if not the best in the land), are tremendously athletic and board well.

If they turn it over like they did last year and we make some 3s, it could be a great game.

that was my point. we've been outrebounded by everyone else, why should it matter today?
