And she seems to have little trouble staying in the box!Did a little research on Kaitlin Parsons since she is now leading the team in batting average at .429. Before April 7th ( game 2 of Auburn series) Parsons had a .343 BA, since then she is hitting 15-28 (.535 BA) with 9 BB, 7 RBI, and 1 HR. Her OBP during this time has been .648. I remember Ralph and Karen saying how she reminded them of Sarah Fekete (who led the NCAA with a .500 BA her senior year), and if she keeps this up we might have our next great leadoff hitter.
Great defense and needs to hit for more power but a little slump now.A stat that surprised me was Ashley Morgan has struck out only 10 times in 123 at bats. She is hitting .292 but has a .371 obp. She has less strikeouts per at bat than anyone on the team except Holcomb who has only 5 strikeouts but not as many at bats. She has improved overall from her freshman season. She has been in a huge slump lately in SEC play looks like someone that could develop into a very dependable player as a junior and senior.
