This team may have dug too much of an early hole in this game to complete the comeback, but this has been a good response when it looked like it was headed for the mercy rule. I think we could be an OKC team this year. Rogers is going to be the best pitcher to wear orange since the Renfroes.

Pump the brakes regarding Renfroe. However shes the 1st one I’d throw from here on. She grew up in that game and has a heck of an arsenal of pitches. She spins the ball at elite level and has the speed to make her off speed keep the hitters off balance. This was the 1st time I’ve seen her and I’m totally impressed for whatever thats worth.

Girl I coached in little league plays for FSU out with a torn acl this yr texted me and said she is pretty good especially as a freshmen

There is no doubt at this time who our best pitcher is. Loved that Rogers was mad she did not shake off a pitch Karen called that went for a homer and then Karen told her next time to shake it off if she didn't like it. She had high low off speed and both sides of the plate at the end and was letting it fly. Slappers' time is pretty much over in big time softball because you need everyone to be able to launch one. Trying to get three hits to score against elite pitching is extremely hard. JMU was swinging for the fences and caught enough to beat us. With the modern bats you do not even have to catch it square or out front to hit homers. It is like in MLB with the shifts if your best hitters want to slap a single against the shift the other team is more than happy with that. (Of course most of them have too much pride to do that).

She put those long balls in the wrong spot, she’s probably gotten away with it all her life and now sees that she can’t do that at this level. I think other than those 2 bad pitches she out pitched King. The future is bright for her. Hope your player fully heals so you can enjoy watching her play.

Man I totally agree. 1-2 slappers sure, 8-9-1 is way too many in a row and we had 7-8-9 come up in at least two innings. Leach is the future of slapping imo. Mix of power and skill. Imo they need to recruit some situational hitters to have on stand by if they continue to insist on having that many lefty slappers in the lineup. If you look at the successful teams recently, UF, OK, FSU all have bigger power hitters all thru the line even in the 1 hole

Tennessee outfield defense is horrendous. Not WCWS caliber at all. This was not a good weekend for them. Yesterday started bad. Today was worse. Other teams outfield made the exact play to change the game that UT outfield could have made. Exact. Both balls we at the top of the wall and the reigning national champs are champs for a reason

Weekly’s need to go visit their financial advisor and make sure their retirement savings is good.

Phillips was out this weekend so that probably hurt them out there but I see what you see. Heck, Phillips was a mif in travel and hs if Im not mistaken. Sometimes I wonder if they honestly evaluate kids outside of their comfort zone (Fury/ Corona Angels). To me it seems like they have a body type they go after and skill level is secondary. I cant recall a single lady that doesnt fit that mold on this roster in forever. When I say that Im talking about slender fit athletic looking kids. And ftr Im not saying go recruit a team full of plus sized ladies, but 1-2 kids wouldn’t hurt their power woes
