Tennessee Softball 2026

I was at every game and pretty much everything you said (IMO) was wrong. It’s early in the season and we have some new players in key roles. Players from last year have gotten better. Role players did their job and advanced players into scoring position. Pitchers were excellent. Weather stunk and it was miserable for the players as well as the fans sitting on those cold aluminum bleachers. Tennessee fans traveled well and were vocal in their support.

Your obvious dislike of Bella is unfair to her. She made several great plays and I don’t remember her making any errors. Her batting has improved and she is a very good SS who will continue to improve regardless.

It will take more than 2 weekends to know how good this team will be. We caught everyone’s best pitcher this weekend and I’m sure that will happen next weekend as well.

IMO, rankings at this time of the year are not that accurate. #5 Oregon lost 3 of their 5 games, #21 Liberty lost all 5 of their games. I thought both had very good teams.

Over our 5 games:

We had 29 hits total

Drew 31 walks

Hit 6 home runs and 8 doubles

Had 26 RBI’s

Only had 1 fielding error and a .992 fielding percentage

Kar, Erin and Sage had a 0.0 ERA

Pitchers gave up 9 walks, 12 hits (2 of them extra base hits) and struck out 42 batters allowing only 2 runs.
Pretty strong numbers I think.

I get screaming Texas Tech bought this player and that player but did the duo from Boise State come to play here for FREE?
yes, but it’s been wide knowledge texas tech were in talks with players before they even reached the portal, which is where i think they’re wrong. by all means buy your players, but do it properly.

As Tennessee should be doing, almost ever school tampers in this NIL era... Why should TENNESSEE take the high road?

If the probation for that football coach is finally over we shouldn't. Texas Tech is the king of tampering hasn't hurt them. Guess doing it in women's sports is mostly ignored. Ole Miss tampering in football got turned in haven't seen anything about punishment yet.

Going to need that deep pitching staff this weekend.

Ok, time to look Fwd:
Thursday got some good games to go watch other teams. Texas Tech, LSU, or Georgia

Friday Big Orange is hitting against Nebraska at noon on field 8, then again at 5pm field 1 against JMU.
Hopefully the city will leave the parking lot lights on long enough for people to get to their cars safely. When I left 10 minutes after the Oregon game, the lights were off and I tripped over a parking block that I couldn't see and hit the ground hard. Had to be taken to the ER where I spent 5 hours getting checked and treated. Broken finger, concussion, bleeding from several locations.....not a good way to end the trip.

That is so awful! I am so sorry. Totally right that the lights should be left on longer.

Just to be safe I would bring a flashlight or some kind of light. Terrible they can't give people at least 30 minutes to leave.

Thats tough hope for a quick recovery.

I got a call out saying due to construction parking was going to be mess and to plan to shuttle.
Does anyone know what they are doing around the stadium area?

Is there a resale market for Clearwater tickets? What're the odds someone is selling them outside the venue? We see that a ton of that here at home with Masters badges. Would love to go to Weekend 2, but, of course, with our late decision to do so, all sessions are sold out. Clearwater is a 6.5-hour hike for us, so any good insight here would be much appreciated! Thanks!
Good luck.

I was told they were taking a lot of the parking close to the stadium and up to the bleachers at Regal away to provide reserved parking for staff and ADA and to plan on shuttling in from the ag campus. I guess no softball tailgating until they complete the parking garage and new clubhouse next year.

A lot of the families do it.
I can easily see it. I was asking a serious question. I would expect that the regulars at the park would chime in. Thank you for being there! Somebody has recipes that have been feeding those girls! I have never seen a more beautiful group of athletes assembled.

…and they can play some ball.

I loathe cheaters. But clearly, not everyone is bothered by it and that’s their choice. I do get the frustration and admit to having occasional moments when I find myself wishing I COULD ditch my integrity and be okay with us doing shady dealings that have helped others win championships. But I just can’t do it. Not knowingly, anyway. Ugh.
