Disappointing that the dad turned out to be what he is. I'm sure Brandon would like to try to justify his meddlesome behavior but it won't work. It's no longer a stretch that he was at the middle of this stink and the one who was pulling the strings with TT.

Softball, like baseball is a strange sport - a sport where any team can beat another team on a bad hitting or bad pitching day.

I was pulling for Texas Tech to win the World Series this season when we were eliminated. That was totally the wrong choice should have no respect for a coach and school that lets a person steal players contacting them while they are still in season. From here on out wish nothing but bad results for Texas Tech trying to buy a title is wrong.

We once again lose big guns to graduation or the portal. Players in the backup role will have to step up. New players will have to hit the ground running. This is a possible depth chart. Anyone see it differently or have info?

She had a very good freshman year, but they bought a player over her anyway. She looks to be a player that could be really good going forward after hitting .305 as a freshman with 5 homeruns and 32 RBI's and a .360 obp.

It’s a bad look for him, no doubt. Inexcusable behavior on his end. It’s also a bad look for the Tennessee fans that jumped into her comments the last few days, body shaming to full blown cussing her out. Some nice ones too. I can assume her IG DM’s weren’t too kind for the most part. Adults/fans going after 20 year young adults has no place in sports just as Brandon had no place for the picture posted.

He’s embarrassing his daughter is what he’s doing.

Pannell's father should be embarrassed due to his actions and Tennessee fans should be embarrassed due to all the petty comments made towards Pannell.

Btw, if Pannell knew she was leaving three months ago she still gave her all for the Lady Vols on the field during the season. She is gone good riddance now both sides just need to move on.

Its funny he called out Karen's "behavior" versus UCLA/Ohio State coaches. If he only knew... Inouye-Perez may not be as outspoken but shes not a wallflower. TTU is drawing attention of all the wrong people in the wrong places with this softball class.

Would have been interesting had we made it to the championship series facing Texas Tech, bottom of the 7th, 2 outs, bases loaded with Pannell at bat. The result of that at bat would have made for some entertaining reading on here, regardless of the outcome, once news broke about her deal with the Raiders.

Hope not but I can see Nuwer being number two next season. I can see the freshman pitcher being good enough to win a few games as well. I think she has to get better and more consistent to keep the number two position here.

First base looks to be Butt's to lose really need her to put up numbers like she did at Boise but if she could even go below that like 15 homers and 50 RBI's .330 average and .360 obp would easily replace what Boo did a a senior.
Second base was sold defensively with Dodge she needs to hit more. .242 average hopefully goes close to .300 and if she could hit double digit homeruns and double her RBI's would certainly see her keep the job at second. Her .347 obp is solid.
Shortstop big question mark, Barnhart hit .537 in high school if she could go .350 in college see her taking the job don't think Faw will ever be a .300 hitter.
Third Base biggest question mark next season Emma Clarke came on with her hitting a little near the end of the season, but still ended up .212 and only 2 home runs. Doyle was the mystery of the season have to see if she has anything to give in the big leagues.
See both Leaches taking the RF and LF jobs both have strong arms and think both will hit very well next season. I expect both to be vastly improved over this season.
The Centerfield job looks to belong to Knight she hit over .400 at Boise has a lot of speed. Same with Morgan who should be improved as well. I think were upgraded in center next season.
Catcher think Morrison is the better average hitter think she might be a little better defensively don't expect her to have the power Nugent had.
DH a lot of options Rutan might be the favorite.

Overall based on last season first base even, second should be a little better, shortstop questionable could go either way up or down, Third down from last season it appears, Right field upgrade, Center upgrade, Left upgrade, Dh upgrade, Catcher could go either way up or down.

Pitching upgrade Pickens and a lot of options to win number two and we could even see a lot of a number three.
