And kudos to Gibson for an incredible four year career - someone who is arguably underrated in all time LVs. Nugent, Mealer, and Fiedler were also really nice additions the past couple of seasons!

nugent quickly became one of my all time favorite lady vols. gonna miss her tremendously.

every player on the field gave it their all. this is the toughest TN team i’ve seen in years. the offense picked her up in 2/4 games. we battled. a great season.

I agree it was not a lack of effort but effort does not equal results. You can want it real bad but that does not make you a hitter. We need hitters but so far in the portal I see decent hitters but we have a team full of those already. Great year but when you have a generational pitcher you can’t waste her.

And hundreds more all across every sport every year. It's one of the hardest things to accomplish in life. Only one champion in each sport every year. So the VOLS are in the majority that also didn't win.

you can’t say those players are gonna be “decent hitters” until they step on the tennessee softball field. just a negative mentality. there’s nothing decent about that the two boise state girls did this year (albeit in their conference). agree though, we need to stack up on some mashers.

A fan can be disappointed in the actions by a coach in letting his players fight without him. You’re still upset I was right about Kellie years before the hammer dropped. Time heals all wounds…yours is just taking a little longer. Might want to get that looked at. Orange Park broke you mid season.

Here is the difference though. Frank is the pitching coach. The hitting coach was ejected today. The pitching coach literally calls the game for the pitcher. That’s a WAY bigger loss than a hitting coach. Hitting is “see ball, hit ball”. Pitching has so much more nuance it’s not even debatable. Hitting coach getting ejected isn’t a big deal.

Great Year Ladies but only 1 team can win it. Sending home Fla and Ucla was great hitting did get better at end of year but today just wasn't there. We will be back next year and hopefully fix some weaknesses and win it all. Peace unto you all. In CHRIST Alone

Well hopefully we can take some of the rising sophomores and juniors that were mentioned and turn them into elite hitters. We saw it with Malveaux - give the new hitting coach and the approach a year. It may be much better next yesr.

True they may come in and be AA level and I would be thrilled. Can they do at the Sec leve? That is a big if.

I can't say I'm im love with the approach I've seen.
