Tennessee Softball 2025

So maybe the one who calls the pitch needs to do some home work and determine which pitches are being hit out of the park. She is throwing almost twice as many rise balls this year as she did last year. The rise ball is the one that is being blasted for home runs.
What i saw yesterday was that the rise ball accounted for all four of UCLA's runs. I was fairly shocked they threw one to the girl in the seventh inning the way the pitch was not working well.

Does anyone have a great memory and feel for how Tennessee usually plays in early games? For me it's great because I don't have to wait all day for the game, but do our players like noon games?

Turnaround time is more concerning for me than the start time knowing the task in front of them. Noon game they’ll be there 9-9:30, early meetings/breakfast.

Yeah Im not sure how much is left in the tank. Extra innings yesterday in 90 degree heat followed by afternoon games today.
against a well rested Texas squad. OU had the easier road with an evening game yesterday and an evening game yesterday and again tonight.

We won twice against UCLA. No reason we can't do it again. Kavan beat us at their place 3-0 on 11 Apr (all 3 runs in one inning) but we beat her 4-1 in the rubber match.
I'm curious to see where Kavans head is...... Before OU her grandmother died, she may be emotionally drained dealing with that stuff.

When a fielder drops an infield fly rule ball, is it still scored as an error?
The way this has always been applied when I coached and played is that once the infield fly rule is called by the ump, while the ball is still in the air, the play is over and batter is out. No catch is required. Any base runners remain where they were.

This rule was put in place to keep an infielder from intentionally dropping a popup to turn a double play.

Ok, how do both teams stack up for pitchers today? Gotta believe both stars arms will be limited. Extras for us hurt KP’s availability.

Don’t have a clue about their other arms.

Looking for guidance.

LV's in a win or go home spot, its gotta be KP until she can't. Now if we win 1st game may have to go with Sage in 2nd and KP in relief but that decision is what Karen gets paid the big $ to decide.

If Texas does a favor and doesn't start Kavan in G1.... I think you go Sage in game 1.
