she hit .413 this year with 13 home runs and had a 2.9 ERA. i’m thinking she’s gonna be a DP role here while taking some excess innings pitching if needed.

We faced her for 3 innings earlier this season.

Plumlee has a big bat as well.

I doubt it. Karen is pretty stuck in her ways but shifted at times. Who was the last one Rainey Gaffin, 2016? Majority of the pitchers coming out of HS and into college can swing it.

Yep and she got hurt batting and it kind of tanked our postseason iirc

If they approve everyone getting a fifth year do you think we could have her for 2 more years?

Broke her wrist in the SEC Tournament when she was hit by a pitch and UT lost in regionals because Erin Gabriel wore out having to try and throw a doubleheader herself.

Well, Tennessee doesn’t have very many open roster spots, and they pursued her the second she went in the portal. So I think she was pretty sought after, at least by this staff who saw her in person earlier this year. Also talked to Alabama and Georgia, from what I understand.

Yep, same staff that got this bunch to the World Series. Can’t all be All American’s but led by 2 is pretty good reason to be trusting in their analysis. Especially with her two way rating I read about just a little while ago. Got several pretty productive portal adds already. One on the mound, one behind the plate, one or two in the infield and one in the OF.

You can only put 9 out there at a time. Have to wait and see who can step up down the road.

I heard it was just as much hitting as it was pitching.

Kailey said her senior year was her hardest year yet due to coming back from knee surgery and was thankful she was able to play her senior year even if she wasn’t at 100% the whole season.

You never know if any of these young ladies can hit SEC pitching until they see enough to gage their performance. Hitters are had to judge because over 300 batting average is considered successful. If you add in slumps it may take a whole season to determine their success. GLV

Agree. The roster is full of all-Stars who hit the ball well until stepping up to the next level. It takes time to get used to the speed and skill especially at the top 20 collegiate level.

At this point, I am ok with a couple of 4' 5" girls who know their role and can hit...especially with pop.
