Tennessee Softball 2025

Not a tough field but an even field with no clear cut favorite. Comes down to matchups & hitting. Pitching will be a given with Canady, Pickens, Landry, potentially Rothrock, and UCLA staff. Most have been there in the circle it’ll be who can handle the pressure/crowd.
OU has the intangibles, but if the Texas Tech offense can get hot, watch out. If we get Boo and Pannell going we have as good a chance as any.

Is someone going to make a thread so a discussion about the WCWS can be conducted. Obviously the resident SUPER FAN who speaks for whole fan base doesn't seem to like it being discussed in this thread.. TIA..

In my opinion, it sure feels like Tennessee drew the toughest path to a World Series Championship having to face championship-experienced all-everything Jordy Bahl in the Supers, and now having to face Oklahoma in their back yard where they routinely win national championships.

If the Lady Vols win the championship this year it will have to be among the most hard-fought championships in a long time. They'll definitely have earned it. I know, because I aged five years this weekend.

Beat them in their stadium twice already this year. I don’t see why we can’t do it again!
@Volstylexx congratulations on going back in 2025. I remember you being there in 2023. I so appreciate you and your efforts to educate some of our new and younger fans on what CKW has accomplished over the last three years.

(2) Regular Season SEC Championships
(1) SEC Tournament Championship
(3) Regional Champions
(2) Super Regional Championships
(2) times to the WCWS (9) total and two time runner up. Trying to put this in perspective...the WCWS is equivalent to the final four in basketball.

But as you know, we move from OU stadium ( seats 4000 +) to NCAA site that seats 12000 +. But with double elimination I trust KP, who (is a problem solver) knows the OU line-up though they have gotten better since we beat them twice in the regular season. First game win is absolutely critical. Difficult to come through the loser's bracket.

At least this year you want have to defend CKW starting KP instead of Ashley. Crazy argument! I stopped posting over that nonsense.

This is a wonderful day for our lady Vols. Just a great win. But please don't forget:
Tomorrow is Memorial Day.

GOD Bless all the Gold Star Families! Visit a Veteran Cemetery, if you have time tomorrow.

How are the 2 world series brackets determined?

The top 4 seeds in one bracket and the bottom 4 seeds in the other? WTH?

edit - Never mind.
The 1, 4, 5, and 8 seeds all lost.
The 2, 3, 6, and 7 seeds all won.
Crappy system - they should reseed the final 8.
As it stands, we are guaranteed to have a 9 seed or worse in the finals.

Those games mean nothing now. Beating them in world series is a Tall task
Yes, and especially since OU has the mental advantage of having been there and done that. Even with us having Pickens and winning the series earlier this season, I guarantee you OU is gonna have some swagger about them -- as they should. Tennessee wants to experience and attain a goal they've already achieved before, so naturally there's advantage in that.

All that said, it was perfect timing for Karlyn to break the all-time record for pitch velocity and to handle excellent hitter Bahl the last couple of games. That will definitely enter the minds of OU batters. My hope is that Pickens retires the side in the first inning to put a little doubt into the Sooners. And of course that we continue to score early and keep up the defense.

I'm impressed at the overall record and the fact you remembered I went in 2023! Go Lady Vols! and yes, thank you to all who have served and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
