Dodge is my player of the game along with Pickens. She set the tone early with her swag and energy. We needed that after last night. IMO I think you keep both leaches in, I thought they both had great ABs for the most part. The question is do we stick Mealer back in the field and do we leave Clarke in there as the DP?

She really did. I thought to myself how cool it was to be able to see the moment a young athlete has a moment of clarity and literally matures right then and there. Good stuff.

As long as we can string together enough hits to put at least a couple of runs on the board, I feel confident Karlyn will handle her business tomorrow.

We hit better today. I really think that if we approach Bahl with more confidence and swing at more pitches instead of getting caught looking we can put up 7 or more runs. Especially, tomorrow being her third day.

I can live with it.

1. It’s a huge story if she puts this team on her back and plays OU in the opening game.

2. I’ve not seen a tougher competitor in any sport, any gender or any level. She has my respect.

Just a matter of time we start getting some of those seeing eye hits. Hitting it hard but right at them a lot. Nebraska got 3 of those grounders that just found the holes that were essential in their 2 runs. We are due some fortune in that part of the game. Plus, got to give it to Nebraska they've played errorless ball, hopefully their due a blunder tomorrow.

She pitched a good game yesterday as well, it's just that it got lost amidst the poor fielding and hitting.

11 K's, 1 walk, 2 ER's, and 5 hits today vs 7 K's, 2 walks, 2 ER's, and only 4 hits yesterday.
